At this time, we do not have a schedule to provide. As, mentioned in post #578 the current launch is for vehicles built in 2024, which means that there could be folks on this forum who receive the update this week. The initial launches for any type of over-the-air update are always focused in the Metro Detroit area. For those whose have 2025 builds, we are still waiting to hear when the 2025s will be launched.

At this time, we do not have an exact timeline to provided. However, we can confirm that the update has started rolling out so expect to be next in line soon!

To paraphrase: we took one teeny tiny baby step forward but there is still no end in sight. Don’t hold your breath unless you live in the Detroit area.

I mean 400 trucks in 1 city. How many trucks were sold in late 2024 and 2025? Half a million? This is shaping to be a long process.

Wonder what flexibility the dealers have to do a “non-FOTA” update. My assumption is that software is software, and if it can be installed wirelessly it can also be done at the local dealership if you know the right lingo and way to ask….

That is complete nonsense. I’ve had my truck for a year, still don’t have a feature that was both advertised and purchased as a result.

All customers should be able to look on your website at a published schedule. The fact that you have no idea when this will be further released tells me that it’s not in the near future, also unacceptable.

Perhaps litigation would motivate Ram.

Not trying to make y'all mad, but my wife just got a 2026 BMW X5 and the digital key works flawlessly and setup was ridiculously easy.

Considering this technology is readily available in the market, I can't help but speculate that this rollout was either not a priority or a victim of the cost cutting that genius Tavares initiated.

Either way, I can't blame the current regime.

Did it complete? Any in-app changes and what’s your general location?

I can’t tell any difference. It did complete the update. I still don’t have a tile to pair the phone to use it as a key. I’m out in Las Vegas. Nowhere near Detroit.


As an FYI, I had already received that RCT 5.0 update months ago.
