I'm looking for a spot under the truck - by the spare tire - to mount a small air compressor for adjustable air springs. This is the HD1000 kit - NOT full air bags

I'm considering screwing the compressor to the underside of the bed, above the spare tire. The provided screws are probably about an inch long and I'm concerned they'll pop up through the bed liner.

Is there enough room to mount here?

I just installed a full system in my truck, but if you have a crew cab with the under floor storage in the rear seat, a compressor and regulator fit nicely in there once you remove the inner tub. That way it's all protected from the elements. You can hear the compressor when it kicks in, but it is not very loud. Won't even notice it if the radio is on. Then I just took silicone and sealed up around all the bolts

Did you just drill through the side or bottom and run everything underneath? Where did you pull power from?

Sorry, have not been on here in a while. I removed the plastic tub from the fabric outer casing, drilled into the bottom and the side to secure the compressor, regulator, and filter intake. . Then drilled a hole large enough to put a rubber grommet in to fit the electrical and airlines in. Made sure to seal all holes with silicone, then slid it all back into the fabric outer cover. All wiring and airlines run under the truck. Tucked up as neat as possible along the frame rails and crossmembers. I ran power all the way up to the battery as the install kit is plenty long enough to do so. The kit also came with manual fill ports that you can install in-line. Just incase your compressor stops working for whatever reason. I ran those fill ports up to the fuel door, drilled 2 small holes in the backing there, and mounted those inside that compartment.

I had the air lift wireless one gen 2 compressor installed in my driver rear floor cubby on my 2015. Barely heard it and kept it clean, dry and warm for winter months.

I don't have a pic. But I have two buddies that installed the center(over the intake) type air intakes and used the spot where the stock intake comes in the fender to install tire air compressors. I don't know if this will work for your application, and it may bit a bit spendy for the CAI's. Just a thought. And no, they did not gain any performance with the CAI's.

ARB. Used for airing up tires. probably (most likely) overkill for your use case.
