So…it finally happened! After years of waiting and wanting, I got myself a used 2022 RAM 1500 HEMI with 49k miles. 🚙💨
Quick question for anyone with experience: what’s your take on the Mopar MaxCare warranty? The dealer quoted me $4,200 for an additional 5 years/50k miles. They also offered a non-Mopar option (don't recall the name but 1K cheaper), but I’m not sure which way to go—or if an extended warranty is even worth it. I’ve never purchased one for any of my past cars, so I’d love to hear some feedback.

big horn, laramie or limited???? i would def get powertrain coverage. that max care is only going to be a additional about 80 bucks a month on a 5 year note.
i consider it cheap insurance.
if it's e torque that system is covered 8/80000 and not CHEAP to repair. also emissions is 8/80000
you can also get a quote directly from mopar. i guarantee the stealer i mean dealer has a mark up.
be aware that if you mod it it may void your coverage i would read over any coverage very carefully.

Laramie - V8 non eTorque.

I bought mine from mopar , I bout 2019 big horn a year or so back the non mopar was 6,800 from the dealer and they didn't
try to push the mopar one which was strange , went on line got mopar warranty so long story short I would , these trucks can be really good or just a lot trouble.

That's the only warranty I would buy and check out here online. Usually cheaper without the middle man

Ziegler Warranty Mopar

Both Ziegler and Granger offer significant discounts.

You can always use their quote to beat up your dealer too... I got them to price match Ziegler (actually beat by $100) AND take a $30K down payment on my favorite miles CC. It's all about leverage.

FL, CA, and I believe possibly TX doesn't allow discounts on warranties. SMH.

I vaguely recall something about FL being retarded with regards to the Extended Warranty.
Not sure why. The car/truck lobbyists give more in FL?
Years ago for my wife's vehicle I purchased an Extended Warranty from a dealer in another state where my brother lived for the vehicle purchased in FL.
He then sent me the paperwork.
It was about 1/2 the price.
Never had to use it so not sure if there would have been an issue.

Hard to give advice without knowing how many miles you drive per year and how long you plan to keep the truck.
