Half my radio stations are staticky. They should come in but they fade in and out like they’re out of range. I was told to do a soft reset on the Uconnect system. However, when I try to do it, pushing the volume/power buttons or power/voice prompt button, it just shuts the screen off. Pressing the buttons for 10-20 seconds does squat. The screen stays black until I push them again and it turns on. So how do I do a reset on this stupid *** radio. I’m about ready to trade the damn truck in for a Chevy. I’m seriously questioning the build quality of ram if they can’t even figure out a functioning radio.

We need a little more vehicle info. Year? Software version of radio?

I'm having the same issue as the OP. Most of my FM radio stations are staticky and/or the volume fluctuates wildly. These are the same stations that I had programmed into my previous Ram (2011 1500) & came in perfectly. The other day I attempted to listen to one station & had the volume up to the max setting (38) just to hear it at a normal level.
The issues seem to happen only when driving. I can sit in my driveway with the engine off & they play fine. Something is definitely wrong. Any ideas? Is it an antenna issue? I don't even see an external radio antenna, so I'm assuming it's internal somewhere, or maybe it's integrated into the shark fin. Would a reset fix the issue? Nobody answered the OP on how to reset the Uconnect system. I have the Uconnect 8.4 non-nav with the base 6 speaker system, 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn with 5.7 non-eTorque. Any help would be appreciated.
