2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

You could also possibly bite the bullet and leave the truck with them and tell them you're not taking it back until it is fixed. You can't use some of the important features if your touchscreen doesn't work.

If you bought a Mopar MaxCare warranty, they should give you a comparable loaner or rental.

While they have it, I suspect (but, of course, it depends on your state) the Lemon Law clock is ticking.

Places I have looked into generally apply the LL after 30 days without use of the vehicle or something like that. In which case, they MAY also be on the hook for any out-of-pocket expenses you had - like paying for a rental car in the meantime.

Just another option to consider. Trying phone calls to Stellantis/RamCares and also checking with other dealerships first definitely seems like a good idea.

Yep. I do get offended when people accuse others (passive-aggressively or otherwise) of something they didn't do and, in fact, the accuser is actually doing exactly what they are accusing someone else of.

Politics WASN'T in this thread - until you accused someone of putting politics into the thread. You appeared to be offended by his reference to Kamala and her word salads and made it into something about politics - when it had nothing to do with politics. Then you accused him of bringing politics into the thread, when HE did not. You did.

Politics, race, sex... people get offended all the time by someone and then, where there is a difference in one of those things, the offended person accuses the other of doing what they did because of that difference - even when the difference (in politics, race, or sex) had absolutely NOTHING to do with what the person did or why they did it. Yep. I do get offended when that happens.

And then, when you call the person out for making false accusations, they get offended about that, too!

Kamala has vomited so much word salad in the last 4 years, I'm surprised Whole Foods isn't stocking it in the Fresh Produce section. Saying that has NOTHING to do with politics. And what @Peterhenric said was, just in my opinion of course, a very clear and apt metaphor for what he intended to communicate. A lot of words were communicated to him but, in the end, they had no content that was useful to him.

So, there you go. I think I have made my point. If nobody has anything more to say about it then neither do I. :D
Well said sir. I concur. I was going to respond to that, but you said it waaaay better!

So I need some guidance/help from you guys. The screen in my truck has been broken/not responding to touches for months. The “brain” as they are calling it has been on order this entire time but they have given me 0 actual info on any sort of a timeframe or what they are doing to source this part. Every week I get a copy and paste email asking me to be patient and then it has all sorts of Kamala-esque filler that makes it sound like something is being done but in reality it’s just a bunch of hot air. “Working with suppliers at the parts level to improve the timeframe.” When I press them on it, they say they are “doing all they can.”
I told them they have the parts every day because they continue to roll new trucks off the assembly line. Their response is that those are pre-built units that are comprised of several parts for manufacturing purposes. That actually makes sense to me. My brother said I should push them to replace the entire screen/unit as opposed to the specific part that seems to be impossible to produce. Has anyone had luck getting any sort of results from Stellantis/Ram Case Management? If so, how high up do I have to push?

Any help/input is much appreciated.
What part exactly is ordered?

Display Screen Modules and the Radios (think computer tower and monitor) are typically ordered via exchange order. Meaning that they will send a remanufactured part, which in turn means they have to have parts to create the re-manufacture. In my opinion, the reman parts are usually better because they have been vetted.

Someone else mentioned leaving the truck at the dealer until it is fixed. I would tread lightly with this issue and also keep in mind that if said dealer gives you a loaner you could be taking their ability to give a loaner to someone with a drivability issue.

As a service advisor I ask you to please try to be cordial even if you are frustrated. Sometimes we all are getting the short end of the stick from Stellantis, and we really can't do **** until there are parts available.

Let me know what part they are trying to order and I might be able to give you some more insight on what might be going on.

I think what I'm going to have to do is call RamCares and just keep asking for advisors until I get to the "top".

I've just completed a nearly 3 month taffypull with Ram customer service. An electronic shifter module that failed and prevented the truck from shifting out of park. There are probably a dozen, maybe two, variations of this module. Mine was on back order with no ETA. The dealer was supportive and provided a decent loaner, but had to rely on RAM to find the part. So I engaged RAM.

I annoyed the first line of RAM customer service until he (non-native English speaker, hard to understand) "promoted" me to the next level. Another non-native English speaker, who I annoyed until he promoted me to RAM Customer Retention. Did most communication via email because it was difficult to understand their English and to keep a log of the interactions (potential lemon law material). This process took 2-3 weeks. This retention guy was based out of corporate in Michigan and I suspect the top tier of customer support. The part eventually (3 months) showed up and the dealer fixed the truck. I remain engaged with the retention guy regarding financial compensation.

As to the lemon law option, as someone mentioned, do not threaten RAM with lemon law action. If you go the LL route, have your lawyer initiate the LL action with RAM/Stellantis directly.

ps...sold the truck 2 days after getting it back.

The saga continues with my 2025. I went to a customer today, came out about an hour later and kept getting the "no key fob detected" message. The red light was still working on my fob but I ended up walking to a auto parts store and got a new battery. Still wouldn't work. I had my wife bring my other set of keys thinking maybe that was the issue. Still nothing. Disconnected both batteries for a bit; nothing.

I called up the dealership to set up an appointment and get towed and it magically started working. At this point I don't know what to do with this thing. I'm afraid to take it anywhere now.

I will reach out and see if I can get the specific part number. They did mention that the part I am needing is a remanufactured part but the problem is because these trucks are brand new There aren’t many out there for for them to have been manufactured in the first place. I think my problem is fairly unique so there are not many people having to have theirs sent in to be replaced.

I was in the neighborhood and stopped in to the dealer and chatted with the parts guy. He said the part in order is the display. Number is 68605893AE.
He said from what he can see in the system they are trying to source a manufacturer for the screen itself. Once they get the new screen installed, they send back the old one for refurbishment.

The parts guy called the manufacturer and they did not even have the order in their system. He said the reason for that is because they probably don’t even have the parts yet which is not a good sign.
