The wait is over—Ram has officially opened up the Build & Price configurator on RamTrucks.com for the 2026 Ram 1500, and it’s packed with updates fans have been asking for. Whether you’re chasing the return of the legendary 5.7-liter (345 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8 or want to spec out a new Warlock or Express trim, it’s all online now and ready for you to play with.

I see the hemi is offered in the limited trim only.
I thought it was going To be offered on more trim levels. 😪

I just went to "build" a 2026 1500 Bighorn 4x4 and there was no engine choice.

I cant show that it's a Bighorn but that's what I selected. 4x4 and didn't add any options.

It’s broke. It doesn’t allow the Hemi with a 6’4” box.😡

Ok I can’t find it, for the extra $1000 what do you get on the 2026 Longhorn Limited vs. Limited?

The difference in a Longhorn vs a Limited is $495 and is all cosmetic (different interior theme, exterior trim pieces).
Longhorn then precludes you from getting NIGHT or BODY COLOR BUMPER items

Currently HEMI only available on 5'7" bed however the 6'4" bed only opened for ordering a few weeks ago (months behind the shorts) so I wouldn't count that out as permanent yet.

Tradesman - V6 $0 / SO Hurricane $1695 / HEMI $2895
Bighorn - V6 $0 / SO Hurricane $1695 / HEMI $2895
Laramie - SO Hurricane $0/ HEMI $2895
Rebel - SO Hurricane $0 (Will get HEMI later)
Limited - HO Hurricane $0 / HEMI $0
Longhorn - HO Hurricane $0 / HEMI $0
RHO - HO Hurricane $0 (no intention for HEMI)

Hey @RamCares when are you going to dump the stupid Start/Stop that no one likes or at least allow us to permanently disable in a menu?

It is a shame that an old-design 5.7L is an almost $3k add.... That said, if I had to replace my Ram it would be on my list

Quoting my old post from elsewhere on forum,

If you include the 33G tank and Passive Cold Exhaust, the HEMI is cheaper option on a 2026 truck than it has ever been on a 5th gen (as a charge above the standard pentastar, where applicable)

For Laramie 2021 was the worst, actually, where the HEMI cost $2645 more than the pentastar which was standard, compared to $1200 upcharge now over the SO Hurricane which is standard.

As I understand it, then, the hemi is only available in a package with those items?

That's odd. Wonder if it's an error? When I looked I was using the 5'7" bed.

Motor Trend says its available almost through the whole lineup.
I just went thru all three bed/cab Bighorn selections, all 4x4 option, all three offer different power train options.

Quad cab 6'4" offers v6 or inline 6
Crew cab 5'7" offers v6, i6, or hemi
Crew cab 6'4" offers i6 only
Thats weird!
And stupid!

The site froze on me multiple times. Not clear what is different between some of the packages, and also agree some items noted as available options in the press are not available on the web.

Did note prices seem very high. Probably best to work with a knowledgeable dealer, assuming there is still such a thing.
