So I have been messing with my Android auto and Samsung phone since I bought the truck 1 year ago ,All the issue's we read about so I Noticed the it is very sensitive to the usb cord into the phone So instead of clipping it on where ram has those spots for it the counsel try laying the phone flat , I just drove 300 miles and never once did it cut out ,go off line nothing rock solid, Try that maybe it will help.

SO I just drove 525 miles total had my Samsung S23 Plugged in laying in the bottom of the council and never had one interruption in android auto worked perfect , just FYI maybe this will help for others , I have never seen it work this good.

Or go with a wireless Android Auto dongle. my phone never leaves my pocket when in the truck unless I need to charge it. Has been stable and doesn't disconnect.

Note - I attached my wireless dongle to a USB cable with an on/off switch due to the USB outlets staying powered for 1 hour after shut-down. Better than unplugging it every time. Or just leave it plugged in, they don't use that much power.

Can you share the details of the on/off switch, did you buy that on amazon or something?

Absolutely, here you go, from Amazon, they come in different lengths to suit your location preferences, fully supports data, has been great for the year plus I've been using the cable ....
