You nailed it. The actual wheel ID typically is not shared data which makes it difficult to know. Thanks for the response! I am a little worried about the inside diameter. Finding the inside diameter dimension of any wheel is harder than it seems like it should be. Any advice other than pulling a tape measure with the wheels in hand?
Any thing possible with time and money. But I don't think that has ever been accomplished. You in theory would be diminishing your overall braking performance. You can ever-so slightly shave the calipers down when they have high casting spots to fit tight 18".I've been thinking about this a lot and curios to see what people think before I bring the idea to my local shop. Is it worthwhile, or doable, to either replace the calipers or the rotors and calipers with something smaller? I'm finding a lot of 17" wheels that I really like and they're less expensive. My goal is to get more rubber to fill the wheel wells, so smaller wheel and larger tires.
Thoughts?
