Android Auto Wireless Disconnects

Happy update, the dealer replaced the radio and it completely fixed my issue! Android auto connects immediately now and doesn't drop wireless connection.

It's sad I had to wait 10 months for a resolution to this, but I'm glad it's fixed.
Can you confirm that you still have zero issues a month later?

I joined to say this thread helped me. I had the same issue in my '24 Limited, and the dealer ended up opening a star case, getting a "special tool" from engineering to diagnose it, and replacing a part. The report didn't have the part number, but I would guess it's the telematics component as my screen protector was still on the radio after fixing (so I don't think the whole radio was replaced), but the Bluetooth ID was different.

In any case, it's a fixable issue if you have it. I've had it back for about a month now and not a single disconnect or trouble connecting. It was quite problematic before the fix, sometimes could go for a 20 minute drive and couldn't ever connect...

A good news update (for me :))

I'm well out of warranty now but have found an almost perfect fix for the issue. I have always thought it was something to do with the wifi connection so I had a thought that other day. I turned off my wifi on my phone and have had only one disconnect in almost a month. The phone has to be connected by cable but that's a minor irritation as far as I'm concerned.
I wish I'd pushed my dealer harder when I first got the truck as it's been a problem from the outset...
Having said that, the dealer I brought the truck from are a$$holes so I'm sure they'd just say it's my imagination...

I went to a new dealer. The first visit they just gave me a sheet of paper with recommended steps to reset the radio, which did nothing. I took it back a few weeks later and they agreed to replace the radio under warranty. Completely fixed all the issues I was having. The truck is so much more enjoyable now! I shouldn't have waited almost 3 years to find a dealer to fix it, but I'm glad it's finally done.

@2023Blue1500Limited thanks for this post and providing additional details. I provided everything to my dealer and it definitely helped persuade them to replace the radio.

Thanks for starting this thread. I bought my ram in 2023, February. Brand new. I've been having disconnect issues from day 1. It disconnects wireless and wired. Always at random times. Btw...I have Android phone. I mention it to the dealer every time Im there and they can never recreate it. They question my phone, they even say my cable is not an official android cable. When I ask what an official android cable is...they don't have an answer. I got tired of dealing with that dealership. I went to another and the tech took a ride with me. During the ride, it wasn't disconnecting...of course. I called my wife to have her stay connected...this usually causes a disconnect. Sure enough...it disconnected a few times. I'd hang up and it would connect automatically. He asked if I had the lasted Android Auto and assured him my phone was up to date. My truck's software was up to date as well.

When we returned and I was waiting for my loaner to be gassed up, he said he relayed the info to the manager. Manager said it was definitely the radio. A day later they called me to tell me Ram researched the issue and said to replace my radio. Now I wait for that. No word on when that will be ready.

On a side note, the loaner was a 2022 ram. Had the smaller radio, but in the hour I drove it, zero disconnects. 🤷🏼‍♂️
