Bilstein 5100

Ok. Newbie here with suspension parts. I've got a 21 Ram 1500 (Limited) with the air suspension. I'm not having any issues but I've always been a big fan of Bilstein struts. I'm not looking to gain or lower height, just want the most comfortable ride and Bilsteins have been the ticket with my trucks in the past. Summit says these struts work with the Ram 1500 but Bilstein's site says not to use it with the Air suspension. Just wanted to check here to see if anyone has run the B8 5100 with the air suspension and if so, can you provide feedback.

Did you look under your truck ? Did you see anything that looked like a standard strut with a spring around it ?

No. I saw a standard strut in the rear with the air compression where the spring would go. In the front, I saw a standard strut with air compression around the strut where a normal spring would go

I installed the rear 5100s on my limited w/ air suspension, they fit just fine and ride great. No issues and had them on nearly a year.

Thank you. Have you noticed any issues when adjusting the ride height with them installed?
Every once in a while when I leave the truck parked in OR2 for a period of time, it will throw a payload error and disable the height adjustment. Doesn’t happen often. Otherwise no issues, behaves just like it did.

My rear shocks were blown and these were plug and play. Rides much better.

Part number I ordered was 24-233354.

I am looking to do this on my limited, I made the switch to 35's and new wheels. tire/wheel combo added 20+ lbs per corner. Did the 5100's improve comfort/drivability/handling? any cons to making the switch? one last question did you have to use any special tools to install them?

something similar to this?

Thanks. I ordered the same ones and I'll be installing. Not sure why they don't list them as compatible because I noticed the Rebel with Air Ride has the Bilstein 4600s.
