Roof trim, Roof molding

So im gonna wrap the roof, and want to remove the trim molding. how does it come off? Clips or just double sided tape? Thanks

If I were you I would not take the trim off. I would tuck the wrap in at the seam.

Yes, the vinyl will lay down much better with the fin out of the way.

I did the roof.... not perfect. But after a week ill forget about any blemishes..im also just an amateur.. i was quoted $300 for the roof, i bought the same brand 3M 2080, came out to $100 with a vinyl tool kit i also bought. which i now have for future projects.

These are clips. Idiot before me mounted a roof mounted light and bolted it I the rain roof trim. If your gunna pop it off just use a pry tool and go slow. They are a little annoying to put back.

Something very interesting is that if you have the VERY LOUD whistling noise in your cab at certain speeds 70+, it's that Fxxxxxg trim. Air will get under it and you will get that noise. I put packing tape on mine and covered it up really well and the noise disappeared. If you tap on it and get a small click like it's not attached very well, that is the issue. I am going to get some new trim, clips and small diameter hollow trim tubing and put it all back so it will take care of the issue.

My truck is a 2019 Limited that I really like a lot.
