I have been on the waitlist for the new FitcamX for the 2025 Ram 1500 since December. I received notice a couple of weeks ago that they were ready and would start shipping soon. I received mine a couple of days ago and had a chance to get it installed today. I loaded it up with all the options. I have the FitcamX Rear Camera, FitcamX CPL Filter Anti-Glare Circular Polarizing Lenses, and FitcamX Fuse Box Cable Hardwire kit for parking mode. Hardwiring into the fuse box and installing the rear camera added time to the install but worth it. So far, I am happy with the new FitcamX and accessories. The install wasn't bad, it just takes some time to plan, test and route all the wiring. I made a video showing details on all the steps of the install and everything involved in the planning and testing.

Being able to connect it to the stock display is awesome.

Being able to connect to the display is nice. Wonder if that’s a ‘25 thing? I put a FitCamX in my ‘22, but I don’t have the rear camera.

I use an Elite Car Box. That is how I was able to run the FitcamX app on the screen in the truck.

no you cannot add rear view if you do not order rear view.

this is mentioned on the other fitcam threads

so if using that car play cannot be used simultaneously?
No, but the box does everything yoir phone does plus more. Your phone will connect to the box via bluetooth so your phone calls and texts still come through the truck screen like normal. I did a video a while back that will show you how it works.

the web site states this
"Fastest Hardware Specs and the most stable software on the Market With Android 13! "

only thing I do not see is if works with the smaller screen and a non-nav unit.

god damn $350 lol
for the record i don't need all those other functions other than to project the rear cam, but not for $350 lollll
thanks!

guess nothing any good costs a lot, sad
i mean it is good, but i only need 1 feature - the mirroring of fitcam since i have a camper and it renders the inside mirror useless.
for that it's not worth the money for me.

if i was one of those people who needs to watch netflix while driving or "have passengers" who need to watch netflix while moving down the road or only having wired carplay then yes it's worth the money.

only need the one feature for the fitcam

What's the purpose of having your dash cam show on your display?

for people like me who's got a camper in the bed rendering the inside mirror useless. I put the rear view cam for fitcamx inside the camper window high up, so that it has the best viewing and recording angle.
sure, tapping the reverse cam in the head unit is an option, but the camera location is a bit too low to be used as rearview cameras.

i really don't want to add wolfbox even with the new 3 camera system simply because i like how fitcamx integrates into the existing housing, but damn wolfbox 3 cam system is looking better and better every time i think about it lol

Great idea! Never thought about using the rear camera like that.
