Hello,

Had to tow my truck to the dealer due to this issue that is supposedly common. I'm hoping someone could post me to a master thread on this topic. Truck is ~4 months out of the 3 year/30k bumper to bumper warranty. Has anyone had success with Ram still covering this? Why hasn't it been issued as a recall if it's such a common issue?

Thanks for the help. Hoping not to have to pay out of pocket for this fix.

They won't cover it out of warranty.

Mind elaborating? Did you have this issue? What was the cost to fix?
I only had the rear window leak which was covered under warranty. But there are plenty of posts on here about this from people in and out of warranty. I've not seen a single one fixed for free outside of warranty.

Wild... Talk about something the customer has absolutely no control over. I'll update this when my rep gets back to me..he seems to think they may cover it but he probably has no idea.

I think they should since this is a known problem. Might be time for someone to do a class action lawsuit. I wish you luck on it. And for sure, keep us updated.

it s so common that I did a preventative measure just in case the permatexed sealed window does leak on my 2024. Threads on this stuff are all over this forum. That s the RH in case you are interested.

The whole thing is ridiculous from design to implementation to correction

After almost 3 weeks I got my truck back. The good news, RAM covered everything (actually paid $55). They replaced and module itself and removed and resealed the window. They said there is an active recall for the rear window leak which is why it was covered. Hope this helps anyone else out with this issue.

Glad yours was covered. For many of us RAM did not cover the window or the consequential damage. My window leaked badly and killed my RF hub but my VIN was not included on this "recall" for some unknown reason that was not disputable.
