Okay so I just had a brush up with a concrete post, ruined my fencer flare. I had wanted to get some of the riveted ones before but I don't think I need that aggressive of a look plus I am not a fan of a lift. Planning this week to get a set of high gloss black rims still deciding b/w 2 diff sets so the help on the question would be great.

Question I have for the group, I have a black diamond crystal Laramie with the chrome bumpers, how much difference is the black painted flares vs the black diamond flares?

You lose the diamond in paint. The little sparkles. Won't be noticeable from afar, but would be closer. Would it be terrible? I don't think so.

Just a fyi last i checked replacement sport flare is around $80-100. Drop it off at a bodyshop uninstalled that doesn’t mind doing minor paint work for (i believe I paid around $70),I had this screw up a few years ago and thats what I did.. you can also price out what it would cost to fix the messed up flare versus just buying a new non painted one. Also check ebay you may be able to find a flare already painted in your color code.
