I'm about to take the plunge and buy a travel trailer, and I'll share some of the experience here, but if it isn't forbidden, can y'all recommend a forum dedicated more specifically to the RV and travel experience?

There's usually some good information on RV.NET Also, what ever brand you go with, there's usually some forums that you can find.

Depending on the brand your buying, I really like https://www.keystoneforums.com/forums/index.php
They are really helpful, if you can get past the old timers on there, that think you need no less than a 3500 dually or you'll be over your listed payload. Good luck on your search, I have owned several, starting with a pop up and now our Passport 268bh. Its an expensive hobby, but fun at the same time.

I own a Forest River Rockwood 2109S Mini Lite...
I am on this forum...

I know this is not a "post pics of your RV" thread so mods please be gentle with me...

Thanks! That's actually one of the models being considered, but hoping for a little more closet space. Really liked the 2511, but it may be too big. I'll share when the dust settles.

Update:
I purchased a Starcraft Super Lite 225CK.
Got it home, starting early stages of provisioning.
No photos yet (sorry I'll have to work on that).
Tried unsuccessfully to join the starcraftowners.com forum. Don't get an activation email and messages to administrator go unanswered. Zombie site, methinks(?) 🤷‍♂️
Joined the irv2.com forum.

As far as the truck goes:
Adequate power, 3.92 axle in 6th gear, almost like they planned it that way. ;)
Miles per gallon, Nah!
Didn't sag the rear as much as I expected, actually about level with camper unloaded.
Definitely getting weight distributing and sway control hitch.
More later, probably new thread when I get photos.

Be ready for the flaming as well. The general discussion TT forums can be not very supportive of new posters or those without a lot of experience. Also, be fully prepared for your RAM assembly quality being 10X the quality of the TT you bought.
Read up on the problems on the "owners" sites for the specific brand you purchase. Hope you are "handy".
Sorry to be negative but my brother and I have owned 7 TT's or 5vers and they are basically money pits, especially post 2020 models, IMHO.

Congrats!
That's a decent looking floor plan.
I thought so.

North - South bed so wife and I don't have to crawl over each other.
Comfortable seating directly across from the TV so you don't have to crane your neck.
And a big plus, you can still use everything with the slide in, so you could have a quick bathroom break on the road, if necessary.

Read up on the slide mechanism, do you lube/grease it or not, does it have a manual retract capability etc. Watch the YT videos on slides and remember they can leak if not well maintained/checked.
