Uconnect 5 missing widgets

I am trying to track whether or not the gauges widget was removed in the most recent update or at least determine what software version works and which doesn’t. My new 2023 limited does not have the gauges widget at all. I am also running the most current software. Who has the widget and what version of the Uconnect software is on your truck?

I wasn't aware of the Limited having any widget gauges. My G/T has Performance Pages, so I have all kinds of gauges. I have T27.46 OTA update about a week ago.

My understanding is that Uconnect 5 in the 23 models made it standard. No performance pages but the gauge widget is supposed to be there.

You can add some gauges to your 12" TFT cluster..up to 5 tiles, then add the guages into them.

Yep I can do that. I just don’t understand why my Uconnect is missing the widget that lets me see them on my Home Screen. Everything I have seen says I should have it on a 23 Limited with 12 inch Uconnect 5. I know guys say they are unreliable but if they work on the dash they ought to work on the Uconnect screen as well.

So you can enter vehicle settings hit the towing menu item and there is another selection for gauges? What if you simply try to add a widget via your Home Screen pages? Do you see a link for them there?

If I edit a home page I can add Gauges from the widget menu. Lower right option shown below. However if I add a shortcut that opens the Trailer Tow app, I can see more gauges on the screen than what is available through the gauges widget.

I guess I didn't try to create a new home screen that is just a single widget whole page. Not sure if that's an option. If so, it might show more gauges on the screen than the 1/2 screen shown below.

Yep that homepage widget is what I am missing. Everything I have seen says I should have it on my truck. I have all those gauges available on my digital cluster. I just can’t select them to view on my Uconnect. I know they are unreliable based upon posts here and elsewhere but if I am supposed to have them I want them available. If they work on the gauge cluster they should in theory work via Uconnect. What Uconnect version is on your truck?

So I called Uconnect support and was essentially told that I had to ask my dealer why the gauges widget was missing. I informed them that dealer support was worthless and that they would just refer me to Uconnect support. I was then told that the “specialist” I was speaking to wasn’t really Uconnect support and that he had no access to any firmware version info. He asked if I reset my radio but I told him I was hesitant bc it all works fine now and I don’t want to create problems that don’t exist. I am at this pint very annoyed bc of the lack of support or info. The first thing the guy told me was that “gauges” was likely removed via the latest update. Yet he couldn’t confirm that for me it was up to the dealer to tell me what was done in the latest firmware release. Annoying….

Had the same problem
But when I went to add a widget from the home screen and it showed me the widget options I had to scroll through them for the gauges widget to show up. Yes even though there are only a few there, you must scroll to find it. It's a glitch.
Gauges widget was not removed. Latest software ver T27.46

I have a 2024 Limited, and have the gauges, BUT they did not work, so made appointment with the dealer, they "reset" the radio and U connect, Gauges workerd for a few days, then they didn't, then two days later they were working! My "guess" is, either a loose connection or, an messed up radio.

I think it's messed up software. The gauges on the cluster work all the time, but the gauges on the Uconnect screen rarely work. It's a very common problem and may be a problem on every truck.

I have a 2024 Limited, 12" screen, I added the gauges to the screen, but, they work only sometimes. Dealer did a reset, they worked when I picked it up, now, tit is intermittent. Worked for 3 days straight, but the last two they show nothing! All the dealer wants to do is a reset, and that is not solving the issue.

Has anyone experienced a situation where the gauges widget is completely missing? I have never had the option to add it and am unclear on what option includes it. I have a 2023 Limited

Just realized I also do not have the trailer tow app either. I added the OEM trailer brake controller and programmed the truck for it but the app is not present.

Ok just fixed it. I did a factory radio reset and the app and gauges appeared. They worked when I first reset the radio but now the gauges are dead, lol!

It’s crazy that Ram has not resolved this issue. I would have the programming team figuring this out asap. It’s clearly a glitch in the software and should be fixable.
