Hi I am a new Ram owner and just purchased my first ever New truck, and so far I love this thing but I just come to realize that has already build some rust around the engine block.
Is this normal for a new truck?

Appreciate your input.

Yes, I have it on mine too but only on those corners. Hit it with a wire brush and brush some black heat engine paint.

Doesn’t look normal to me. I’ve had my truck for over a year / 34k mikes and it doesn’t have any rust on it. Before that, I had a 2019 that I got in October of 2018 and traded in with 73k and it didn’t have any rust either.
Your exhaust manifolds have no rust? Your engine block has no rust? Your rear axle is rust free? How about your tie rods, no rust there're either?

What the OP posted is completely normal.

Will do thanks for the tip, btw my dealer sent me some pictures of other new trucks and they look about the same.

Aesthetically might look bad but its cast iron I’ll take forever before its an issue. It’s not painted with the care and detail like something you would do during a restoration, its a mass produced factory built vehicle.

Nice looking truck! It s normal. It would be 100 years before that causes an issue, LOL.
