New to the Forum, I have a 2019 Ram Rebel 3.6 v6. 78K miles
I have been having issues with my start-stop system. I took it to the dealer and they told me to replace my main battery and that would fix the issue.
Well, it hasn't after replacing the main battery. One thing I have noticed is the light only comes on in the morning or after the truck has been sitting overnight. If I drive a few minutes and turn the truck off and back on right away the light disappears. On my way home from work, the light doesn't come on either. It only when the truck sits for at least 10-12 hours. Do I have a small battery draw?
The truck has been giving me issues and it feels like they all came at once after years of no problems. at the same time, I had a CEL with a missed fire in cylinder #4 and found coolant in the cylinder. I had both sides of the heads resurfaced and new gaskets everywhere they were disturbed, new spark plugs, coolant, and oil. This fixed that CEL light.
Yeterday, I got a P0456 CEL. I did a little research and ordered some parts from Rockauto based on some videos on YouTube. Parts come in tomorrow, I reset the CEL light for now and it hasn't returned.
