Hey,

Been looking to pick up one of these for my '21 1500.

The 7793 is going for close to $400 while the 7709 goes for around $260

What are the differences between these two bars, both say they fit a '21 RAM

Thanks!

I believe the 7709 is 7/8” diameter and the 7793 is 1” diameter.

I have the 7709 and love it. Don’t see a need to upgrade at this moment in time.

Thanks! I can't imagine 1/8" makes any discernible difference

It would be a noticeable difference if you like stuff. Probably not enough to justify the added cost I'd you can still get the 7709

what exactly does the rear sway upgrade do? I have a 22 1500 and I dont seem to have alot of sway with my blue ox hitch just wondering if there is anything I can gain with it.

upgraded sway bar information

Depends on the ride you're looking for. Lifted trucks it is definitely worth upgrading, because center of gravity sits higher now.

From my experience, upgrading to a Hellwig planted the rear of my truck more firmly, especially when cornering. It helps take the floaty feeling away when entering and exiting turns.

Upgrading struts/shocks also helps with this. I HATE how floating mine feels and come spring will be getting upgrades!!

Agreed. I put RC 2” struts up front and paired with LT tires, the floats are gone. Both front and rear. Next on the list is SuspensionMaxx front end links. Will have to wait til after Christmas.

Yeah crazy expensive anymore to do things. Plus I wanna have a shiny suspension until next winter :ROFLMAO:

I bought my 2021 Limited back in November and just now pulled the trigger on the 7793 since I still had the factory bar on. Just got to say, it makes a huge different especially at the stiffest setting. Paid $379 + tax through American Trucks and don't regret it a bit. Not sure if the 7709 would have been lesser or a negligible difference but the handling now is pretty crazy for a full size truck weighing in at 5700 lbs. I can take long sweeping turns at a much faster speed & still feel more stable. For anyone on the fence and hasn't already purchased the 7709 I would say go with the 7793.

Is anyone running the Belltech 5563? I'm really intrigued. Not only does it have a cost less than the 7709, it is one inch in diameter like the 7793 and has bar bushing stops to keep the bar from "walking"

I would have given it a go, but when I got my Hellwig 7709, the 7793 wasn’t out yet. Nor did I know about the Belltech. I’m extremely satisfied with my 7709, but if I had to do it all over again today, I’d try the Belltech.

Does Belltech just sell the rear sway bar? I enter my vehicle info on their site and they just show the front and then the pair.

Yes they do. I priced out both and then found the kit cheaper. I'll probably be going Belltech. Has to be better than OEM.

I would suggest just getting the lowered bar, and buy CORE4X$ sway links. They upcharge for the lifted bar because of hardware.

Both the Hellwig 7793 or Belltech 5563 are big improvements over stock. Note, the Hellwig is solid vs the Belltech that is hollow. For me, I want the solid Hellwig.
