What was the “AC hack”?

Like the title ... I’ve got the crap tacular one and have a chance to grab one out of an 18 for cheap but not sure if I should or not. I know the 7” on the 5th gens are different from the classics, but would it work or is it a waste of money ? Thanks all for the help !

19 big horn, wpg, -35C outside the last week ... not plugged in, hadn’t run it in a few days and started just fine ... typical unhappy cold noises but fired up just fine. Let her run for 20 minutes before driving and was very happy with how the truck thawed out

Anyone running studded winter tires ? Looking for some feedback from people who’ve done it. Is it a noticeable difference ? My truck has an open diff and I can get a good deal on studded winter commanders or studded Duratracs. Tempted but thought I’d hear from guys who’ve actually tried them...
