    Good tires for towing

I did yeah. They tow great for sure. I will say I’ve towed a bunch since then and it feels great. I have the ProPride hitch and with everything I’ve done, it’s one-hand driving while towing. A really good, easy experience overall.

    Hellwig? Hell, yeah!

Just installed mine over the weekend. I put it on medium setting. I have to say I was kind of surprised that I could actually feel the difference from the get go. Certainly less body roll overall. I got it more for towing than anything, but it honestly makes the daily drive better. Worth it, no...

    That’s the answer there. ( above )

    Upgrading rear springs?

Take a look at either the Timbren or SumoSprings. Both are helper springs that will help reduce sag in the rear when loaded, just like airbags. They all have the pluses and minuses. For towing as well, take a look at the Hellwig rear sway bar. Good helper springs, Hellwig rear sway bar and a...

New to ram, new to trucks, new to towing

With all that experience driving your cargo truck and all of that, I suspect this post is somewhat fake. My guess is that you're trying to bait the tow police, lol. With all that experience, you already knew the answer prior to posting since it's really not even close. There's a zero percent...

Newb to the world, wealth of information, overload. HELP

This is 100% true. I started off with a BlueOx and then switched to a Propride. Night and day difference is an understatement. The 23 gallon and 3.21's are going to be fairly limiting overall. The truck will definitely pull, I just wouldn't plan on pulling much more than 6000 pounds or so.

    Blue Ox Track Pro

I’ll second it. I replaced my Sway Pro with a Propride last weekend and took it out. Zero sway, it’s pretty wild actually. Winds were about 20 mph, according to the weather app. There was literally zero sway, with one hand driving, compared to having to slow down and use two hands with the sway...

    Blue Ox Track Pro

I had a windy day pulling the TT the other day, about 15 mph or so and the truck became pretty hard to drive, to the point that I had to take side roads. Luckily I had some to take. Take a look at this video here. It made me realize the Blue Ox isn’t up to the job for me personally, so I...

    Blue Ox Track Pro

Yeah, I’ve head to adjust that bracket a few times and remeasure to get it right as well. You can flip over that bracket as well To get more adjustment out of it.

Max PSI the Factory wheel and Valve Stem can handle?

I figured this might be a better place to ask this question, especially for future Search ability. Does anybody know how much air the factory cast 20 inch rims can handle? Same goes for the valve stems? I put LT tires on my 1500, but even though the tires can handle 80PSI, I’m almost certain...

    Good tires for towing

Honestly, it’s not that bad for me. 55 psi is fine. For me it’s a truck and I don’t mind the slightly stiffer ride. But I could have sworn I saw a picture of the max psi stamp on the casting being 65 or so, but I can’t find it. :( I went out and looked and I didn’t see anything stamped in the...

    Good tires for towing

Update here. I did end up getting the Coopers. They ride really well. But I haven’t aired them up to max yet as I haven’t towed with them yet. But, I do have a question… what’s the max PSI the factory rims and valve stem can handle? I currently have them at 55 and everything is fine. But when I...

    Got weighed - Now what?

The WDH wasn’t in the 5740 slip. It’s pretty level, at least I feel it is. It was full of water and the tank is in the back, so maybe that was causing the weight not to transfer? Sounds like I’ll have to get it loaded up and make some more transfers over the scales. Luckily they’re not too far...

    Got weighed - Now what?

I don’t have one with the WDH not engaged. But doesn’t the fact that the before and after front axle weights being the same mean it’s pretty dialed in? ( Not trying to be snarky there, genuine question ). And then from there, I know my remaining payload as a result?
