Fair question! Well, I already have the steps and AlfaOBD and it'd be nice to have the infotainment system's functionality to turn the steps on/off and to extend/retract them on command. I could always unplug the connector, but would prefer the OEM style functionality for when I'm offroading...
Hey y'all,
I have the AMP steps and am wondering if there's a way to wire it up so it can be recognized by the truck? I have AlfaOBD to activate the automatic step features. I'm looking for write-ups now, but if anyone has one to share it'd be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Tommy
Hey folks,
I've been trying to use the 300W AC outlet in the back seat of my truck to charge a power station (Ecoflow River Mini). The issue is that the power output from the inverter keeps cycling on/off. The power station displays input wattage and it will ramp up quickly to well over...
Nope, I haven't swapped them out yet. I'm really fed up with them so I will likely remove the entire system soon. I may end up just going with a load distribution hitch instead because I have yet to see an air bag system that I'm confident won't have the same (or worse) problem.
That could be helpful, especially if we can see enough detail. Too bad we can't get hold of drawings.
True. Mine definitely got better without the internal bumpstops. Probably a bigger difference from when I later added the 1" spring spacer.
Wow, that's really iteresting! And I'm quite jealous. There's definitely something structurally different with the Rebel as AirLift's mounting plates had to be modified to accommodate it. But I have no idea what all the differences are... Maybe something is different that somehow reduces my...
I've got a bit of an update on the Airlift 5000 airbags again. I again got tired of the bottoming out when running the minimum 5 psi. Simply put, the compressed height of the airbags are too tall and limit bump travel. And it sucks. I can add more pressure, but then it rides really poorly...
And, as is typical, I type in "LED key fob" and literally get no results. *sigh* Anyway, I do have an issue where the key fob is sometimes not immediately recognized by the truck, but that was before I swapped the cargo lights to LEDs. All others were LED from the factory. Ah well, I'm...
Thanks! If it comes down to it, I'll definitely go that route. What kind of key FOB issues are you referring to? I hadn't heard anything about it.
In the meantime, I took a small paint pen and colored the LED modules black on the bulbs. Looks better, but doubt it'll last given the head...
Hey folks,
Months ago I replaced the stock non-LED bulbs next to my third brake light. I'm referring to the ones that illuminate the bed from above. They look great, but are ridiculously bright. They're so bright that they're blinding. I'd rather not put the stock bulbs back in because I...
I've never understood this mentality. Making the assumption that because someone doesn't like your stuff means that they can't afford it is absolutely moronic. Many here can afford it, but thankfully most of us think it's godawfully hideous. You *did* ask people what they think. You can't...
