I returned the 3D printed links. Mike never replied back and I couldn't get them to install by hand or with pliers. The hole just seemed too small. Watched a guy on YouTube struggle mightily as well. Anyhow, I ordered the Revel links and will post after they are installed.
Following up after a month of use.
The wrapped trim is very easy to clean with a microfiber towel or one of the alcohol-based screen cleaning clothes I keep in my center console. Still looks as good as day one.
Any tips for installing the 3D printed links. The stock links came off very easily. The fixed plastic 3D printed one are not cooperating. I even boiled them for a couple minutes.
I also messaged Mike Bit through the Shapeways site. Hopefully there is an easy solution.
I'm running 305/45R22 118S XL Terra Grappler G2s on stock air suspension with no roughness at all. They are only 47.4 lbs each and have been smooth as silk. No need for a stiff LT tire on this truck, IMHO.
I assume he just cleaned the surface before applying, following whatever procedure Avery recommends for this specific wrap. The install seemed straightforward and it worked great on textured and smooth surfaces.
The whole upper center dash assembly comes out easily. A couple screws need to be removed from the top and you carefully pull the whole thing out, slowly prying/pulling it by hand. A few quick disconnent cables on the backside and it is free. Once the whole center piece is out, you can...
