Agreed. I turn mine off once it gets up to tempt, as it can get uncomfortably hot to leave on.

I had this occur once when I was in a rush and didn't let the step fully deploy. No amount of door opening and closing or turning on/off the truck would fix it, however, it did go back once I began driving.

Definitely overhangs with the tailgate down on the smaller box. Also, you'll receive a notice on the cluster about the tailgate being open. You may be able to switch it off, but I didnt try, as I live a quarter mile from Home Depot.
