    Hurricanes

What a low effort **** post. I'm glad others have pointed out that the Hurricane doesn't have overheating issues. It actually performed best compared to the competition in TFL's towing torture test, as others have noted. It did have an oil temp warning that was a simple software calibration...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I'm more than willing to bet the car detected a misfire. They're going to need to give you a software update, but last I heard it's not been rolled out yet.

    2025 Ram 1500 Order Updates

Tavares has mentioned in the news that he's deep into fixing the "mess" that is quality issues at a couple of plants including SHAP. Apparently too many trucks are needing to be fixed after coming off the line. Seems to me like they're going to be shaky from a production standpoint for a while.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I'm going to very curious to see if this is a misfire code that's popping up. The early Hurricane equipped Wagoneer owners had this problem in droves and it required a software update to resolve.

    2025 Manufacturing Observations

You’re not getting the full picture. Job cuts in Stellantis aren’t just happening in the U.S. for the record.

    2025 Manufacturing Observations

I don't think this is the new Stellantis way as much as an indication of everything happening at SHAP. I've talked to enough current Stellantis employees at this point, both at the plant and at corporate, to understand that plant ops are a mess. SHAP and another plant that I'll leave unnamed to...

    The Hemi is back!?!

Exactly. If this was even remotely true, we'd see them opening up more lines again at Saltillo where the engines are made. Right now they just have one line remaining for the HD trucks and the Wrangler for another year. Everything else got decomissioned and switched over to Hurricane production.

    2025 Manufacturing Observations

I guess I’m just more patient for my Tungsten because this is fairly normal in the luxury car market. One option can cause a production delay of a year if you’re serious about wanting it. I’m actually still waiting for a 911 that I ordered 9 months ago. Meanwhile base models and certain trims...

    2025 Manufacturing Observations

You should look around at other articles. He publicly acknowledged the quality problems at 2 plants, without naming names. We all know one of them was the Ram plant.

    Hurricane longevity

I agree with the sentiment of your post. I can understand the general skepticism too, although the armchair engineers are a scourge upon every Hurricane thread. Time will tell how this all pans out, but I know this engine had a long development time and there's been lots of care taken with its...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Pretty silly to have a 3.21 Hemi and 3.92 Hurricane.

What I think Stellantis should have done with Hurricane engine.

I'd love to hear what European vehicles this would've been made for and why we haven't seen one yet. There's two brands in the Stellantis empire with vehicles large enough to warrant the Hurricane: Maserati and Alfa. Maserati is completely focused on continuing to use their Nettuno 3.0 V6 which...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Yeah, I still remember when this article came out: You Don't Need A Full-Size Pickup Truck, You Need a Cowboy Costume

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Yes, I am grateful azzx chimed in. I hope more owners will share the good, bad, and the ugly soon. I’ll be waiting on my Tungsten forever so might as well enjoy the other posts. :)

What I think Stellantis should have done with Hurricane engine.

Nah. The 3.6L V6 is cheap and already well established, no reason to replace it. FCA did explore turbocharging it last decade and decided not to go that route. The Hurricane ended up at 3.0L because of its relation to the 2.0t I4 motor. It has the same bore and stroke (84 × 90 mm) and the same...
