That’s also too bad.
Maybe it’s a supplier thing? Steel is hard to come by maybe?
You should email AFE and see if they’re coming back in stock sometime.
I think these AFE long tubes are the only ones that are 1 3/4 primaries. The others that I looked at were 1 7/8, which I didn’t want.
That’s too bad you guys have had bad experiences.
I had AFE shorties on my wife’s 4th gen with no issues.
I have AFE long tubes on my ‘20 for almost two years, again, zero issues.
I don’t think I could ever have a truck no matter the brand without installing headers.
Here’s a picture for...
I should correct that post
I get a code sporadically. It can come on once is a few months and can come on several times in a week.
I can’t remember off hand what it is. Fuel/air mixture maybe? I took a picture of it and will confirm what it is.
I bought and OBD II reader that clears codes so do...
I had the Stage 8 locking bolts on two previous trucks that had JBA Shorties. No issues, other than installing them, haha. The driver's side, bottom middle two bolts were a mofo.
I didn't put the Stage 8's on my current truck cause of how difficult it would've been. I have longtubes this time...
My understanding is that they'll refuse the powertrain warranty, but the bumper to bumper is still there.
Voiding my engine warranty is the biggest reason that I haven't gotten a Tuner. But at the rate I'm driving, I should be out of warrant by this time next year. Then I'll definitely get a Diablo.
Though the OP bailed on the shorties, if anyone is interested, JBA makes shorty's that have 1 5/8" primaries like the Kooks.
I had them on my '04 Ram and also my Ex's 2012 Ram and didn't have leaks, nor any other issues at all.
I got "into it" with a fella that also had a nice truck and I blew...
Man I love those rims.
I wish I could get those without having to sell one of my kids to afford them.
I had BFG A/T's on one of my older Rams and loved 'em.
I'd like to get the polished part painted black.
I bought the black center insert with the Ram head. Then got black lug nuts also. It looks much better.
I put that similar system on my Ex's '12 Ram.
I put the AFE system on my '17 Ram.
Those are both 3" and sound wicked.
I'm still thinking on which I'll go with. I installed long tubes so am a bit shy on getting another 3" system, my neighbours will hate me.
But I love the performance, so don't...
On the product page it says this one: MOPAR Part # 6833 4531 AD
It's towards the bottom:
