Haha well said. I will add that when it comes to forced induction things do change. Throw into the equation that the Hurricane is a tiny 3.0 and it gets interesting. It is possible to get better milage in the right conditions (low load) but on the flip side heavy loads = boost and boost drinks...
They should stop calling these intakes cold air and just brand them as performance intakes or something similar. That said I have ordered the K&N for my Rebel X out of curiosity. Based on the design of it I would not put something like that on a NA motor but turbo motors are very different. The...
Went from a 22 Rebel to a 25. I don’t regret it at all and don’t miss the hemi. For me highway fuel milage is the same, in town hurricane does a bit better. Trailer towing is not even close, hurricane pulls with ease and a LOT less down shifting. Towing milage, both hemi and hurricane suck...
The SO Hurricane gets a lot of hate for its exhaust note but I think it actually sounds ok if you don’t try and compare it to the hemi or really any v8. It has a decent bit of throatiness to it and cold starts are not exactly quiet. Video clips don’t capture the sound well, in person I think its...
This is gonna sound bad but its not a complaint. My latest tank average was 21.8l/100 or 10.8mpg. This was all short trip city driving, very cold, -25c every morning (truck plugged in sometimes), remote starts for at least 7-8 mins sometimes multiple times per day, 4 auto 100% of the time. I...
I know some people didn’t like them for whatever reason but I thought the old flip up tow mirrors where the best mirrors Ram ever made. When tipped in looked like normal mirrors and flipped out were great for most trailering. These new giant mirrors on Rams and Fords look ridiculous and as...
I tried this, after less than 15 mins and rhen restarting the engine she turned over much slower. I would venture a guess that there is much more of a load on the battery even with hvac off and no lights on than what traditional ACC would do.
-15c here right now and the turbo cooling pump still runs even after a short 20 mins trip. Not much boost on that trip either since the roads are white. I think I read somewhere it will run up to 15mins after shutdown but always runs at least some.
