I pulled a 4000 pound trailer for the first time this week. I've never pulled anything this big before in my life so keep that in mind.
Dealer setup the husky WDH and truck was sitting level after connecting. I found it to be a little "spongy" at times over rough roads, and sometimes felt big...
I appreciate the reply and I looked over that list but most of them are really old TSB's that apply before my truck was built.
I may have accidentally fixed one of my issues (squeaking gauge cluster) by trying to pull it off and then putting it back on. Dead quiet now.
driver rear door not aligned. The bottom right side of this door sticks out further than the rest of the door frame.
tick in engine. This tick sounds like a possible valve issue or an exhaust manifold leak. It can be heard by front passenger wheel when idling, and also by the driver wheel...
I noticed this in the past that my truck would sometimes clunk when starting. As soon as the engine revs up when it catches, and you feel the truck wiggle a little, right then there is a clunk. It's been a few months since I noticed it and just thought it went away on it's own.
Found out how to...
My truck does that too. Very light clunk, dealer refuses to investigate. Took mechanic with me and everything, went to a parking lot and did a few "forward reverse" cycles. Go forward, brake, stop completely (but for < 1 second) and switch to reverse, then bit of gas... clunk. Like clockwork...
Thanks guys for confirming that I'm not nuts after all. I'm tempted to name the dealership but I don't have that in me. I will say they are located in Hamilton, ON/Canada, and anybody that want's to avoid them can just PM me for details and I might release the name then.
The thing I liked about...
I ordered a set of mudflaps for my truck, make the appointment at the ram dealer for 1:00. Then 1:30 the guy walks up to me, yeah, it's 3 hours of labour to install these flaps.
Well gee, thanks for telling me after waiting for 30 minutes, for a job that should take no longer than 5/10 minutes...
To me it sounds like something is dry or not getting lubricated, I don't think that's normal as I've never heard that in any newish engine before. Old beaters going down the road, sure, but not a brand new engine.
(When I wear headphones the sound comes through the video a little more clear.)
Does this sound normal to you guys? (the video/link below has sound, have to click the little sound icon to turn it on). The sound I'm referring to is like a dry, raspy, airy sound. It doesn't every go away, but gets worse under load, climbing up a hill with rocks on the side really makes that...
