Appreciate the responses guys. I've gone ahead and ordered myself a 2100# 8.5x22' trailer. Pretty pumped, It's all aluminum, luan walls, cabinets in the front, 5200# axles, etc. A nice unit and I hope the truck pulls it with relative ease.

Sounds about right. My open aluminum trailer is only 1250#, so add 500# in the bed and 3100-3400# racecar on the trailer and I typical get 14-14.5mpg towing.

I had Firestone bags on my little Nissan Frontier to tow the racecars, what a MASSIVE difference they made. Granted the Frontier had terribly weak leafs, but for 3+ years the bags worked amazing, never leaked, and transformed the ride even with no load. I'd leave ~10-12psi in them for no load...
