Not sure where you're at in Oregon, but Don Thuren's shop is in Bend. Definitely worth a drive out there, they can put together a package for you that's appropriate for your intended use. Not everybody mobs their trucks in the desert, so if that's not your intent you don't need to dump $10k into...
Keep an eye on your sidewalls.....I ran the load range F Kendas on mine at 35-38 just to get them to pattern correctly. That's way underinflated for load range F tire and it cracked the snot out of the sidewalls, especially around the raised letters. To the point my shop wouldn't rotate and...
Can't go wrong with Carli or Thuren. Stay away from the big box kits like Rough Country, Trailmaster, Fabtech, BDS etc.
Box kits are the equivalent of a body lift for your suspension. They don't provide much, if any, additional usable wheel travel. They're probably fine if you want to throw...
Has anybody measured intake air temp before and after? The primary purpose of a "cold air intake" is to lower the IAT so you get a more dense air charge and theoretically, more oxygen to the engine. That's why boosted engines are intercooled, to bring down the IATs. Increased flow is worthless...
Fabtech may be a large part of your problem. Without splashing measurements, it sounds like the caster built into the uppers is off....your comment about the truck turning like a boat leans that way. I worked on their short course race team for about 2.5 years, and all I will say is I was given...
I went through something similar with my Charger, AC condenser went out. National backorder for 3 months during the summer in Cali. I managed to find 3-4 out of state, but the dealers wouldn't part with them. I was told they already had them dedicated to RO's.
I think it took about 2 months to...
I'll second the tire issue. I bought my 21 used with 8800 miles on it. Previous owner put Kenda Klever 35s on it and I picked up a shimmy at around 35mph. I took it down to get it aligned and the tires balanced, and the tech told me they're load range F tires. The truck doesn't weigh enough for...
Can't go wrong either way, I've done a significant amount of 2500 stuff with both Sage Carli and Donny Thuren. Both produce some of the best suspension components on the market. I built a 2nd Gen 2500 that could pull a 12k toy hauler and pass anything going uphill while doing so, then air down...
Just had mine done about 2 weeks ago. Took it in for service and had them write up the back glass as well. They did the diagnosis while it was there for service and ordered the back glass. They called me a few weeks later when the glass was in and I had it in and out in a day.
I'll second boogielander's comment. Avoid any of the big brand "box kits". RC, Stupidlift, Readylift, Rancho, BDS, Skyjacker and yes, FabTech. They're all bolt on garbage, especially if you go over 4"......the brackets simply drop your front suspension a few inches and stuff an obnoxiously long...
I have the HK in both my Ram and my Charger. Comparing apples to apples (okay, kinda like comparing Granny Smith apples to Fuji apples), sounds much better in my Charger. Now if I could just get the rear deck cover to stop rattling at certain frequencies.....
Either way it's an upgrade...
I have a '21 Laramie with the factory fender flares and I think I hate them. I'd love to get rid of them, but are there holes in the side of the fender?
I'd really hate to remove the 328 screws holding the flare to the wheel arch only to find I have to put them all back in because there's tab...
