MVP won’t cover it. I tried as well. They kept saying “glass isn’t covered”. I had to remind them that it isn’t the glass, it’s the frame. They kept refusing. My defroster failed though and they replaced the window. Mine wasn’t leaking, but it was cracked so I figured it was a matter of time.

Weird. I got a whole new transmission. No runaround or anything. First they were thinking about valve body but when the tech got into it and found burnt fluid and debris they authorized a new trans immediately.

Yes, fully resolved. Dealer put in a whole new transmission. Ram paid for it all 100% under the power train warranty. Working fine since. I haven’t put many miles on it though, it’s just our spare vehicle/toy hauler.

Supposedly trans guy was waiting on some parts for another vehicle, so he started on mine yesterday evening and finished it today. $8,900 tab paid out by Ram 😳. I’ll pick it up when I get back from vacation, either Saturday if I get back soon enough or Monday if I don’t.

And change of plans again today…service advisor states they talked to Ram again and guess the stacked codes warrant full transmission replacement. Hopes to be done Friday I guess. We’ll see…

Walking the last update back…FCA said no go on transmission, they want the valve body replaced first. So now waiting to find out what the timeline for that looks like. I assume as long as it’s available it is a couple hour job, new pan, and some new fluids…

This is my understanding as well. It makes no sense for the manufacturer to take on all the risk, so a dealer is supposed to make sure the vehicle has nothing “broken”.
