Ordering gave me time to test the other Brands!

Consumer Reports just recently updated their trucks list. The Ram 1500 is the only "recommended" model and ranks it first. 2. Tundra 3. F150 4. Titan 5. Sierra 6. Silverado They consider reliability and owner satisfaction in their scoring

    Useless Connect

The driveway thing is totally your phone transitioning between networks. I have had that using UConnect, Volvo Sensus, Honda (whatever that POS system is called) and Ford Sync. As for the other interruptions, not sure whats going on there. Is your phone connected via USB or BT when it happens...

    1st oil change

I did mine at 2k. Then at 5k. Plan to do every 5k. I don't buy the "10k" intervals, sure the modern oils don't break down within the 10k, but they do accumulate lots of contaminants that build up no matter how good your filter and oil is. Side note I do order the 0W-20 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum...

Brand new 2023 Rebel 5.7 Etorq terrible gas mileage.

The EPA test isnt realistic, its like an average of 60mph with alot of the test being done below that speed. Add to that the test is done on a base model truck with standard wheels and 3.21 axle. This is all completely legal and within the EPA rules. Also, your truck is tight. as you get miles...

    2023 Limited Custom Order Help

I got 13.3% discount total when I bought in September. I probably could have gotten a bit more with Mark Dodge or one of the others but I have a good relationship with my local dealer so I decided to support them. Also note that on your screen shot it notes they arent including incentives that...

    Recall: Tailgates coming open

    etorque stalling

I havent had an issue with eTorque. Remember that these forums are a place where you see people noting problems, the people without problems dont come on and post threads "I have no problems, all is good"

2022+ Limited with Harmon Kardon. Questions on adding subs, speakers and amps.

There is lots of discussion in other threads on upgrades to audio systems. I'm assuming thats why nobody replied, its been talked about a lot

    Etorque swap wiring issues

Are you trying to add eTorque to a non-eTorque truck? Honestly, I can't imagine that would be worth the complexity and cost. Not only is there hardware to install but you have software that needs to be update as the whole drivetrain interacts differently with eTorque vs. non.

    Transmission service intervals

Its marketing nonsense to make the vehicles look like they require less maintenance. Just like 10k oil change intervals. Now what does that mean for a 120k mile truck thats been out of warranty for years? they dont care 🤷‍♂️

    Automatic door locks

I hadn't really paid attention. My owners manual says once you are over 15mph, so maybe there is a time delay also associated such that it could be over 15mph by the time it actuates.

At what point is it not justifiable?

Ford has no inventory because they are all sitting in huge lots waiting for parts :D https://www.thedrive.com/news/unfinished-ford-trucks-keep-piling-up-in-massive-lots-visible-from-space

At what point is it not justifiable?

Normally I'm a buy used guy because in the past I could get vehicles at steep discounts from new with low miles (example is wife's Volvo that was $57k new that we got for $35k and it only had 15k miles on it, someone else took a $22k hit in depreciation) but given that trucks are usually more...

    Transmission fluid service

Of course not. I'm not a Neanderthal. Not sure why you'd assume that. I was asking them to service it, is that a bother to ask for service? For the record they didn't even want to service it, so I just did it myself. I do know now some dealers will service them.
