How did the back half get painted in the wrong color! That is wild, man. Let us know how it goes.
I talked to my dealer and was very "concerned" about the potential for life threatening issues should the vehicle do it again while I am travelling and I think that worried him.
Yup, roadside assistance via FCA should have you covered. AAA premier is definitely not necessary, I get it free via my employer as I travel a lot for work and AAA / rental discounts just come with the benefits package.
Roadside Assistance Details here
Hey AIJ - This obviously won't help at this point, but I wanted to post anyway for others. While AAA is great (I have premier which would have allowed me to tow my dead truck for free) it is best in these situations to call Ram Roadside Assistance ( 1-800-521-2779 ) Part of your warranty covers...
@Neurobit you replied to yourself here! haha - I assume there are a few folks on that account?
In any case - this is very valuable information. When I was dealing with very similar issues on my end this would have been good to know to let the FCA techs know about. They never mentioned it :unsure:
Update #5. Truck is back, working fine. Gentlemen down at the truck center have no diagnosis. They ran battery tests, double checked all grounds, had their Ram guy run it around the lot - found nothing.
While I am happy it is back and working good, I am obviously concerned. We have no leads or...
Cold temps? Are all the electrical systems unresponsive as well?
Sorry that happened to you, friend. Good luck and please keep us posted!
@RamCares - any insights?
Could you elaborate as to why that might be the issue? I sincerely hope the specialists down at FCA are checking all of this - but every little piece of info I get here I am going to run by them.
Latest update on my end is that the truck magically started up Today, without them doing a single thing. They are going to keep running some tests but so far they've found nothing wrong, which is a huge red flag to me! One key note, it warmed from the teens into the high 30s overnight into...
My boost box was reading 12.9V when clamps were attached. Later on (a day later) it dropped to 12.8V. Granted it has been quite cold around here and warmed up Today.
Yup, we crossed that off the list as they checked all the grounds. Seems that recall was power steering specific, but either way I think we're good there.
