I’d like to get $800 It sounded good - louder for sure - but the resonator tamed it nicely. The vibration in my truck overshadowed the nice exhaust notes. I have a K&N intake nearly new as well. $1000 for everything. Let me know if you’re interested or have an offer. You can message me as well...
Yeah it was better, but not sure if it’s worth the trouble - selling the truck at the moment. Got a HEMI Big Horn - should have done that from the start. It shifts no problem....
K&N 77-1586KC is the model. I believe 2019-21 should all be the same intake. No pressure! I think the V6 ram can sound good with some adjustments. I just couldn’t survive the vibration/drone and had to pull the mods to sell the truck.
I’ve got a Corsa 21036BLK set that is single out and bolts in and requires no modification to the bumper. Not sure if you’re looking for more sound, or if you just like the look of the rear duals. I do too. 😆 I also have a Borla resonator that can be mounted in the mid pipe. I’m selling my V6...
Hi guys - I tried to put up a good fight and help those that are experiencing the droning and vibration with their 3.6L Rams, but I couldn’t take it anymore and had to sell the truck. With trade in prices where they are I’m sure you guys can walk away with little or no financial hit. Stellantis...
We need to continue to report the issue in hopes that something will be done about it. The vibration seems to span all engines - I have always thought it was a driveline vibration. Like torque converter or something.
Does your vibration also come through the gas pedal and seat? Does it go away...
Same here - the gas V6 and 3.21 not a great combo. It’s always shifting in and out of 8th on the highway, but loves 8th at 55 and it feels like it wants to stall... 🤷♂️
Yep - 100% agree. I’ve added a resonator in the mid pipe and bolted a bunch of damper weights to frame and exaust. It helps, but we shouldn’t have to deal with it. FCA or whomever should research and issue a TSB with a fix. We are stuck with something that definitely overshadows all the positives...
Yeah. This exact issue occurs in my gas V6 as well. The vibration is excessive in the steering wheel, floor, seats, and pedal in that RPM range under load. I think it’s the exhaust and I’ve been experimenting how to dampen. I’ve been told by FCA it’s a “characteristic of the vehicle” and there...
Whatever you do, you'll need to plan to add a resonator in the midpipe. With just a muffler, the 3.6L is pretty loud and harsh. I know from running a Corsa cat back on my truck. Needed the Borla resonator and an auger muffler insert to tame it.
Yeah, for sure. I think the auger + weights in the right spot on the pipes/frame will be the best bang for your buck. Even eliminating the vibration 50% - 75% is a win.
Update - I ordered a few of these guys today. My home made damper was a bit unwieldy and these are a little more civilized. I bought 8 so I’ll going to clamp them all over to see what happens. Haha. I’m bound to stumble on the 100% fix for this. Or maybe FCA is watching and will employ some of...
I wish I would have read this thread before ordering the K&N. It looks great, but man, is it loud. Maybe it’s the aluminum intake tube. It’s for sale now if anyone is interested. I might have 5 miles on it before I realized it’s not for me. The AFE intake looks nice, especially with the oil free...
