Feeling the road through the gas pedal?

I took off the running boards and it helped - maybe they were acting like tuning forks…

    Exhaust

I’d like to get $800 It sounded good - louder for sure - but the resonator tamed it nicely. The vibration in my truck overshadowed the nice exhaust notes. I have a K&N intake nearly new as well. $1000 for everything. Let me know if you’re interested or have an offer. You can message me as well...

Hesitation off the line when trans/engine is cold - anyone else?

Yeah it was better, but not sure if it’s worth the trouble - selling the truck at the moment. Got a HEMI Big Horn - should have done that from the start. It shifts no problem....

    Exhaust

K&N 77-1586KC is the model. I believe 2019-21 should all be the same intake. No pressure! I think the V6 ram can sound good with some adjustments. I just couldn’t survive the vibration/drone and had to pull the mods to sell the truck.

Is the v6 2000 rpm vibration limited to the 4x4 models?

    My truck is/was a 4x4. Another member with 3.6L 4x2 reports no issue/vibration.

    Exhaust

I’ve got a Corsa 21036BLK set that is single out and bolts in and requires no modification to the bumper. Not sure if you’re looking for more sound, or if you just like the look of the rear duals. I do too. 😆 I also have a Borla resonator that can be mounted in the mid pipe. I’m selling my V6...

3.6 "feel" related to sound deadening?

Hi guys - I tried to put up a good fight and help those that are experiencing the droning and vibration with their 3.6L Rams, but I couldn’t take it anymore and had to sell the truck. With trade in prices where they are I’m sure you guys can walk away with little or no financial hit. Stellantis...

2020 Rebel Ecodiesel excessive drivetrain vibration

We need to continue to report the issue in hopes that something will be done about it. The vibration seems to span all engines - I have always thought it was a driveline vibration. Like torque converter or something. Does your vibration also come through the gas pedal and seat? Does it go away...

8 Speed does not want to stay in top gear

Same here - the gas V6 and 3.21 not a great combo. It’s always shifting in and out of 8th on the highway, but loves 8th at 55 and it feels like it wants to stall... 🤷‍♂️

Feeling the road through the gas pedal?

Yep - 100% agree. I’ve added a resonator in the mid pipe and bolted a bunch of damper weights to frame and exaust. It helps, but we shouldn’t have to deal with it. FCA or whomever should research and issue a TSB with a fix. We are stuck with something that definitely overshadows all the positives...

2020 Rebel Ecodiesel excessive drivetrain vibration

Yeah. This exact issue occurs in my gas V6 as well. The vibration is excessive in the steering wheel, floor, seats, and pedal in that RPM range under load. I think it’s the exhaust and I’ve been experimenting how to dampen. I’ve been told by FCA it’s a “characteristic of the vehicle” and there...

    Dual exhaust

Whatever you do, you'll need to plan to add a resonator in the midpipe. With just a muffler, the 3.6L is pretty loud and harsh. I know from running a Corsa cat back on my truck. Needed the Borla resonator and an auger muffler insert to tame it.

3.6 "feel" related to sound deadening?

Yeah, for sure. I think the auger + weights in the right spot on the pipes/frame will be the best bang for your buck. Even eliminating the vibration 50% - 75% is a win.

3.6 "feel" related to sound deadening?

Update - I ordered a few of these guys today. My home made damper was a bit unwieldy and these are a little more civilized. I bought 8 so I’ll going to clamp them all over to see what happens. Haha. I’m bound to stumble on the 100% fix for this. Or maybe FCA is watching and will employ some of...

No Cold Air Intakes for 5th gen 3.6L???

I wish I would have read this thread before ordering the K&N. It looks great, but man, is it loud. Maybe it’s the aluminum intake tube. It’s for sale now if anyone is interested. I might have 5 miles on it before I realized it’s not for me. The AFE intake looks nice, especially with the oil free...

3.6 "feel" related to sound deadening?

So, just a little bit of a side story - last summer I purchased a Corsa cat back exhaust for the truck, and quickly realized it was way too loud on its own for a V6 (the kit is technically designed for the V8). It’s been in a box for the last 6+ months while I’ve been fighting Chrysler on this...

3.6 "feel" related to sound deadening?

So sorry but I provided the wrong link to the auger. You need a 3” OD and I accidentally posted the link to the 3.5 OD. Patriot Exhaust H3844 Side Tube Muffler Insert https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004XH6V2M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_82HWXC3BXZA83XNHHADJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

3.6 "feel" related to sound deadening?

I feel your pain - I do like this truck aside from the buzz/vibration. I think the exhaust is to blame for some but I also believe the driveline is contributing - I just don’t know where to start with that. With mine, even when at idle the intake and front axle have a significant vibration. The...

3.6 "feel" related to sound deadening?

This is the one I purchased. Patriot Exhaust H3844 Side Tube Muffler Insert https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004XH6V2M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_82HWXC3BXZA83XNHHADJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I took off the pipe bolts to the muffler and tapped it in that pipe with a hammer. It took some patience to get...

3.6 "feel" related to sound deadening?

Okay, so today I took a different approach and tried one of those auger style mufflers you can buy on Amazon to see if it would help reduce the noise/vibration. I was nervous that it would be to restrictive - but it has considerably reduced exhaust noise and vibration - not eliminated, but...
