It might not be the subwoofer itself. Sometimes when the bass is turned up, panels or plastic trim in the trunk start vibrating and it sounds like the speaker is rattling. I would try playing some bass-heavy music and gently pressing on different panels around the area to see if the noise stops...
I’ve seen pretty similar numbers with my Rebel. Around the city it’s usually closer to 15–16 mpg, and I only get near 18 mpg on longer highway drives. I think the Rebel trim is a bit heavier and the tires don’t help fuel economy either.
The thread isn’t exactly fresh, but the dilemma about the deductible and the risk of your premium going up is always the same. The difference is who actually explains what’s in that insurance contract.
It’s frustrating when the dealer hands over the keys but doesn't know how the tech works. If the tile isn't showing up in your app, you probably need to make sure your VIN is fully registered and the app is updated. Try calling the manufacturer's connected services line instead of the dealership.
That’s a lazy response from the dealer, especially since it's a 2023. If the passenger side is flush and the driver side has a gap, the fitment is clearly off. You should definitely push back or find another dealership that actually cares about quality control.
$10k for diminished value on a $36k truck might be a tough sell with the insurance company if the damage was just paint chips. They usually fight those numbers hard, especially in Texas where they look for any reason to cut the payout.
Since you're dealing with the same insurer for both...
Ram's stock photos are never spot-on. Canyon Lake seems to come across brighter in photos than it does when you're standing next to it. If you're worried, I'd recommend checking one at a dealer before committing, lighting makes a huge difference with that shade
I remember bringing home my first Ram and having that "what did I just do?" feeling too. It takes a little time but you'll grow into it, and before long the controls will be second nature. I added a spray-in liner right away like you're planning and it's probably the smartest first upgrade you...
Sounds like the USB port is trying to “handshake” with the pad like it’s a data device instead of just power. A quick fix is to use a simple 12V adapter in the cigarette lighter instead of the truck’s USB – that way it just gives power and won’t keep looking for data.
I had the same fight on my Silverado. What finally worked was soaking it overnight with PB Blaster (Kroil is good too), then hitting the rotor hat all around with a decent sized hammer while keeping a little tension with the bolts. Also, make sure the parking brake shoes are backed off enough -...
From my experience, the downsides of buying from a distant dealer are mostly about logistics (transportation, service afterwards, paperwork). But I still chose to work with Medina Auto Mall in Ohio because their offer was better than anything I found locally. They’re a large dealership that...
Worth reminding friends that a lot of arrests start from simple equipment stuff on holiday weekends. A dead plate light or a cracked tail lens is all it takes to start the conversation, then the field tests and video do the rest.
If that turns into a case in Indiana, I would move fast on a...
Wouldn’t have guessed water in the taillight could cause all that stuff to act up. Good catch though - that burnt smell is never a good sign. Might be worth sealing it up better or replacing the housing so it doesn’t fill again
Let us know how the install goes once you get it in. I’ve been thinking about grabbing one too but wasn’t sure if it’s really as plug-and-play as they say
Most tunes on the 6TT are aimed more at power than mpg, but you can get a little bump in low-end torque. I know a couple guys running mild tunes who said they picked up maybe 1–2 mpg when cruising empty, but towing numbers didn’t change much. A good intake/exhaust setup plus staying on top of...
