My 2020 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel has been great for 2.5 years, and now has 42k miles. Not one single problem ever. I pulled my 6000lb camper a total of 600 miles this past weekend, and dropped it off at storage Sunday eve. Drove it Monday, no issues. Today I get in the truck and get some...
Thanks for posting that. I have sent my sample of QS Ultimate Durability to Oil Analyzers and will post it up when I get it back, which should be in the next week or so. Mine is a 10k interval with minimal towing, just daily hwy/city use.
I"ve posted this before..........I was in the fuel business for 25+ years. At a particular terminal, there's no difference in diesel fuels amongst the "brands", as all "brands" are the same unbranded diesel that is either shipped up the pipeline, or refined, then stored in huge bulk tanks. When...
I do it myself, but I could also buy the Amsoil oil and oil filter (about $100) and take it to the oil change place and they'll do it for $30. A good alternative if you don't want to do it yourself. Dealers and their service departments are crooks.
For the record, Ecoguard is $23.45, Mopar is $49.86. Even if you use dieselfiltersonline, by the time you add shipping there is way more than a $10 difference, obviously.
I installed it in my last oil change. It's a dead ringer for the Mopar version. Haven't noticed any difference after 2k, yet anyway. Wouldn't be surprised if it is made in the same place as Mopar's.
Rumor has it, that oil can be found at clearance prices at various Walmarts across the country. Crazy to think they are discontinuing it already after such a short life span?

Right. Sample #3, iron number is not highlighted, therefore normal is the way I read it. Otherwise it would be highlighted. That was my 2nd Amsoil cycle.
The higher iron # was from the first oil change/OEM oil. You can see it's greatly reduced with the Amsoil. Wear metals is definitely something to keep an eye on in the future.
To each his own. This one will be every bit as good as Mopar. Like I said, probably made by the same people in the same place. You know Mopar isn't making them. Good luck!
