BDS UCA on the way will be putting them on Friday.
Also got some 18x9 -12 wheels, the factory wheels will be too close to the UCA with 295s I think so the offset should do the trick.
I'll post once I get everything on. Although I sinned with the RC UCA's, to their credit they were super cool...
Do you know what your center hub to fender measurement is perhaps? I misplaced my starting measurements and am wondering how much lift I actually have up front
I was looking at the JBA's and BDS. They appear to not have any corrected angle built in though kind of like the OE RC ones I just got. I'm sitting at about 24" from hub to top of the fender for reference.
Some pictures are taken at full droop, the UCA contacts the knuckle and prevents full droop. I have maybe 1/4" clearance from the UCA and tire on one side and labout 1/8" on the other. Did a little test drive in the desert and came back with rub marks from the tires on the UCA, no way im fitting...
I have the stock rebel wheels and tires on currently and It is rubbing the UCA. From what Ive researched I should easily be able to put on 295/70/18 with minimal issues, yet its not even working with the stock tire which is why I am so confused.
Just got everything on today, but I'm running into a problem.
I ended up going with 8112's up front and 8100's in the rear. The 8112 come preset at 3/4" threads showing which is the max lift of around 1 and 7/8" lift for a ORP 4x4 5.7L equipped truck.
Even at that max height I'm still about 1"...
Sick as hell at home hopped up on NyQuil.
Figured it'd get a little weird and order 8100s for the rear and 6112s up front, setting 7 should bring my ORG equipped up an inch or so. Yes the Bilstein chart for ORG/rebel says it should raise it higher, but from my research the etorque trucks weight...
How does the AWE kit compare to Carven's catback?
I've had the Carven Competitor series on my 2019, but it was just the muffler with stock resonators.
Was about to order the full catback, but now after reading all of this AWE praise I'm conflicted...
halpppp
Oh I see your RC UCA now, pic wasn't loading before. I'm leaning towards the Zone kit for now but may still use bilstein for the preload portion since I'll be taking the strut apart anyway.
I assume the problem was with the stock UCA?
Thanks for the info, looks like everyone on this thread has saved me a lot of headache which is why this forum rocks. I like the idea of a small top hat such as 1/2" motofab to help some of the lift not be all preload. A mixture of preload/top hat...
Ok fine I cave, Bilstein it is with zone UCA's. I have a set of new 5160's for the rear laying in my garage that were supposed to go on my previous truck so I suppose it's 6112 time again...or 8112 if I want to sleep outside for the next year or so.
I have no need for them but damn they look good.
