I have a 2020 EcoDiesel with 18,000 miles purchased used from an out of state dealer a year ago (a great deal with just 3000 miles but that's another story). Any idea if TSB and PCM updates done at a local dealer will be covered by warranty or is their a service charge? I haven't seen any...
Yes, I watched these before I bought. This is actually the mountain pass I travel...!
Thanks for the advice on using cruise I'll do that. Still the same question though, how high to allow the RPMs when doing this manually (or with cruise, though I suppose that's already sorted out by RAM).
Looking for advice and experience. I drive through the mountains every week or two with a 10% grade for miles, mostly without a load but will occasionally tow in the months to come. I have used manual shift to assist braking. I've read in the general forum some find setting cruise going...
This is what I like about forums! I have the 3.0 ecodiesel and drive though mountains every couple of weeks, have manually downshifted to maintain speed but worry about over-reving. I'm going to try cruise next time, I've never done that.
On that note - when you do use manual downshift, whats...
Well, that looks like a pretty good setup, I haven't ordered the device yet but will. This is a good tip and makes buying it feel better. I imagined taking up space where my phone should go, or tucked somewhere in the dash space. That looks pretty slick, thanks for the photo!
Just personal preference. I wish UConnect supported wireless Apple CarPlay, but it doesn't. Having to leave a dongle (really more than a dongle, its a device that's a couple inches long attached by a wire plugged into a USB that has to be tucked somewhere). I just don't want something hanging...
Thanks for the reply. The USB inside the console is only a charger as you say, I was referring to the USB on the back of the console, meant for passengers in the rear seats. There are two, one is a charger but the USB marked "3" will connect to the UConnect system for playback of audio. I...
Were you able to test the device plugged into the back of the console? I believe plugging into USB #3 will play through UConnect and there is a little cubby above the USB, this would be a handy out of the way place to put the transmitter. I love the idea of wireless CarPlay but don't really...
Well thanks for this tip, forums are awesome!
Hate to hear stories like Buz's....definitely not deploying at a conveyor wash. Thanks for everyone's replies.
Just returned from the touchless place near home and can report that mirrors and running boards deployed were both fine. The boards...
I've read the posts about this happening in washes with brushes, was hoping the touchless ones would be ok as others have written here. Did this happen in a touchless wash?? I'll bet that was a bad day...
Perfect, exactly what I needed to know, thanks! I don't mind doing a little touch up at home afterwards but really wanted to be able to get most of the grime off in the automatics, they get pretty bad after a wintery day.
My new Limited has retractable running boards, I'm wondering about everyone's experience with automatic car washes and getting their boards clean? I'm looking at car wash memberships since vehicles get pretty dusty/dirty here in Colorado, winter and summer. Do you leave your running boards...
Sorry Toby its in my driveway. It is an awesome drive and I'd highly recommend. BTW it was Red, probably a deal breaker for you anyway...? Also it was in NM...
My understanding was current RAMS all have transmission coolers standard. The tow package adds mirrors and trailer pressure monitors and such but not a transmission cooler, because they are already there?
Yes, I hear both of you, and have seen the reliability of the 5.7s and read all about the earlier generation 3.0 woes....and, the 3rd gen is still an unknown for reliability. The 3.0 does put out less power and doesn't tow as well as the 5.7, I think that's established and shouldn't generate...
