I’m just following up here. The Mopar MDP+ successfully proxi aligned my truck, including the 4 modules that were consistently not responding with the Cardaq 3 Plus
The Rlink devices (J2534 and X7) could connect, but were very slow and unreliable.
The Cardaq 3 Plus could connect...
The Cardaq 3 has been stable and responsive, but I do have the 4 modules that don’t respond to proxi alignment. I can connect to the 4 modules directly, but they don’t proxi align. It doesn’t seem like a device issue to me, but it may be.
Has anybody successfully changed tire circumference in...
This is the behavior I saw when I was missing the correct VC++ redistributable. After addressing that, I was able to get fully into WiTech with the Rlink.
I have not yet successfully completed a full proxi alignment (4 modules don’t align), though that doesn’t appear to be related to which...
That’s the behavior I saw when I was using an OBD splitter. I’m still struggling to get the proxi alignment to work for anything other than returning to stock. There are 4 ECUs that don’t align for me.
That said, I dont believe you need a proxi config alignment for TPMS thresholds change in...
I have the Rlink X7, Rlink J2534, and the Cardaq 3. I believe I used the green j2534 with WiTech when I did the TPMS change. The Cardaq seems more responsive and stable when I was trying them, but it costs a lot more. The Rlink devices do seem to work though.
WiTech was the only thing I was able to change the TPMS settings on. In “Misc Functions” there was a setting to change the “tire placard pressure” or something along those lines. You can set it for front and rear individually. You have to choose from a populated list of pressures. No proxi...
I have a TOPDON j2534 and X7. WiTech2 has worked with both of them, though I did have some challenges. The biggest challenge was that I was originally using them while they're plugged into an OBD splitter. WiTech2 REALLY didn't like that. It would take 45+ minutes at times to perform actions...
Correct. The Rlink devices, or other supported J2534 device, can be used with WiTech2 to unlock the SGW and perform some actions.
For AlfaOBD, you need a OBD splitter, one device to unlock the SGW and a second to use for AlfaOBD. This cannot do proxi alignment.
Has anybody successfully calibrated the tire size/speedo on a ‘25+?
I’ve been beating my head against this for a few days now without luck. There is no “program tire size” option in Alfa for the Jeep body computer, which seems to be the common way for other year trucks. I change the setting...
Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try them out. I did change tire circumference.
I tried reverting the 3 changes (tire diameter and front/rear TPMS threshold) I made and re-running proxi alignment to get back to factory state, but I’m still getting the flashing odometer and proxi misalignment...
I was able to do the PROXI alignment using a Cardaq VCI. For whatever reason the RLink devices would get stuck at various points.
Now that it's completed, there were 4 modules that reported an error status during the PROXI Config alignment. The message listed was "No communication" for all of...
Thank you for the information. That all makes sense with what I was seeing.
I have nothing aftermarket that touches the CAN bus. Only additions that are electrical are 12v things like lights and a compressor. It did get interrupted the first time because it stayed at 29% long enough for the...
I was following the directions (I thought?) on the first page of this thread that said you need to use Anyscan to unlock the security gateway. Is that only for AlfaOBD, and not necessary for WiTech2?
PROXI configuration alignment doesn't appear to be working correctly yet. It made it through...
It's starting to look like either the Rlink devices don't like the splitter, or I have a bad one. If I plug either the RLink X7 or the J2534 directly into the truck with no OBD splitter, then WiTech2 is responsive. It takes about a minute to load the configs, and operations within are...
