Trying to decide what wheel & tire size for lift

275/70/18 MT Baja boss a/t on Mopar 2" lift. Was going to run 295 but it was cutting it close to the control arms (would have less that 1/4") and fender liner. I want full articulation for trails

    295/70r18 BFG KO3 on 100% stock 2025 1500 Big Horn

What width does your tire actually measure? You said 11" the specs show 11.8, I'm looking at geolander a/t xd's with the same width but I'm concerned about clearance with the UCA as I currently have about 3/4" with the stock 10.5 wide tires

If you have it it will be a black plug under the carpet of the driver's side rear seat. They actually have two fuse ignition wires in that plug

I confirmed the fused ignition under rear seat is live, if it is on the truck of anyone reading this. That is my trigger for DC/DC charger

Awesome thanks for your help! I'll just have to find out if that wire for fused ignition is actually working

Also, since you have some experience building these set ups here's some questions: The wiring diagram shows only a positive wire to the battery, negative to a chassis ground. This will function properly without connecting to the negative terminal of the starter battery correct? I am running my...

Installed a redarc DC/DC - MPPT charger today. Just need a switched ignition source. Thinking about the fused ignition wire in the rear seat heater wire harness. (Don't have that option installed but harness is there) Just need to figure out if it's live. Not sure if it's pinned to the fuse...

Were these wires live already? Looking to splice into the PK/BN for a ignition switch source for my DC/DC charger. Didn't get a chance to probe with a meter yet.

Cost. That's the simple answer, the dealer will not get reimbursed for the 48v replacement unless a star tech approves it

How did you wire your DC/DC charger? Also where did you connect ignition wire,? I may go that path

    Roof top solar

That is a clean look, but way over priced and not enough power. I'll have 200w solar on the roof, fully removable. It's not really for the starting battery but if I'm parked camping for a week it's nice to have the ability to top off the starting battery since these trucks have so much parasitic...

The thought was a 1-2-off battery switch. I could select where the power is being distributed to through that switch, select started battery or portable. Not charge both at the same time but choose one. Also this is a video I found on mounting the flex panels... He has a long term update which...

    Roof top solar

The solar is to charge a second battery for overlanding and running 12v accessories with the truck off, a portable lithium battery. I'm going to have a battery 1-2-off switch to control which battery is being charged. The question was more if solar is being input to the starter battery while the...

They will not because it has not thrown error codes besides when the battery dies. The 48v tested slightly low but not low enough for their specs to replace. My thoughts are it's with the communication inside the 48v of when to charge the starter battery

Yes the ET battery is 48v which is charged by the generator, which In turn is stoped down to 12v to charge the starting battery. I don't believe it's possible to delete the ET because it's integrated into almost all systems. The solar would basically act as a trickle charger for long duration...
