It would make sense for the system to bulk charge then float, the issue is that once the voltage drops, any additional accessories you turn on make it drop more and more... But it never recovers to higher voltage unless the truck is turned off for a few minutes and you re start it

Found a dealer in South Dakota where I currently am, they agree it's a failing MGU and they have seen multiple already. They said voltage should be stable around 14v They said the 12.7-12.9 I am seeing is just a trickle current passing through and keeping everything running. If it totally fails...
