@Ready Go - I drove our 2024 CR-V and felt much of the same thing in my truck. My beater is a beater. So I expect it to drive like crap lol. The CR-V is making me question if maybe I'm just being way too anal about it. Interested to see how things go for you too.
Also interested in your experience. I've had the ORG springs on Eibachs for around 40,000 miles now. At 72,xxx miles I'm starting to tire of the driving manners. I feel every single imperfection of the road surface. There are stretches when it's perfect and then stretches where it drives me...
You won't be able to use the electrical/"computer" portion of a used one without flashing it. If you disassemble a used one you can replace the mechanical parts and run without flashing. Yes, there's a nice post already done where someone replaced bearings only.
I actually chose to go with the blauparts kit over the PPE pan. The PPE pan is BETTER however, if I continue at 70,000 mile intervals, it's not worth it imo. My truck already has a transmission cooler (I think it's an option and not standard. Can't recall though) and I don't do any real severe...
Ordered Timken front wheel bearing assemblies for the front and Trakmotive Extended Travel CV Axles. Should be in later this week.
Been getting some vibration that I'm trying to track down. Also, had some electrical gremlins that others have traced to the ABS system.
Didn't have time to...
I've had redline in my tcase for a little over 20,000 miles now. I just used valvoline synthetic in my diffs. I use auto when it rains but not much past that. Occasionally when I wanna have some fun as well. Operation of my 4wd system is still going well. Plan on another change in 20-25k miles...
I’m thinking about giving the Michelin Defender LTX Platinums a try next go round. Have a decent looking sidewall but maybe some better road manners. My truck sees zero mud. Just rides around our acreage on occasion.
I feel you. My truck is disgusting as well. One daughter in competition cheer and picking up baseball at the end of the month. Older daughter does travel softball. So between practice, lessons, competitions, tournaments and then all my other adult obligations my truck has fell to the way side. I...
I recommend if you're not comfortable doing it see if there's a reputable transmission shop in your area. I bought the blauparts kit myself but couldn't get the drain plug out and knew I'd have a fight with lifting the transmission. So instead of continuing to fight with it I called a local...
The belt driven portion has a bearing that I believe can/will go bad. I'm not sure what else is in there internally. The portion bolted to the top with the black electrical connection on the right is programmed to your truck. If you were to buy a used/new replacement you'd have to get it flashed...
Not saying you're incorrect - I just wouldn't put much stock in your OEM factory tires. They're often not rated the same as the ones you'd have put on by say discount tire. You can find hundreds of accounts of people replacing their factory tires around 25-30k miles.
Yea, I understand that downside - LEDs are just standard on the majority of vehicles now. Feels like backwards progress. I won't comment one way or another past that because I don't wanna jinx myself lol
Well, depending on what year you bought no matter the trim you were getting the etorque system. It's better to figure out the ways of working on the etorque imo. You can replace the mechanical portion of the etorque motor while retaining your truck's etorque electrical "computer" that mounts on...
