Recall 37A mileage change - An unexpected surprise!

I did after I bought it but I gave up on that soon there afterwards as here in Oregon it was both illegal to pump your own gas and top off your tank. You could be off by a couple gallons of gas at times depending on the pump sensitivity and the attendant. Just recently they passed a law that we...

Recall 37A mileage change - An unexpected surprise!

I recently took My 2021 1500 Laramie in for recall 37A service. This is the one for possible engine turn off while driving. Just a software update. The day after the update I drove a 120 mile round trip route on interstate 5 from Salem, Or to Eugene, which I have done hundreds of times. My mpg’s...

all weather floor mats for crew cab with the in-floor storage bins?

i have the OEM floor mats and they are much better than I thought they would be. Heavy duty, fit well, and cover the bins. I am like some others here and like the fact that they cover the bins.

    Trailer Reverse Steering

A bit late on this one, but found the topic interesting since I have the trailer towing package (I bought my truck off the lot and it was already an add on). I’ve been pulling a boat trailer and travel trailer for many years. Do I need this package? Nope. Do I like this package? Yep. Is it a...

Yellowstone Trip towing Experience in Detail

Thanks for the voltage info feedback. Exact same on my end. Gives me a bit more confidence. I was also wondering in hindsight about the non etorque and the 220 amp alternator. You took care of that thought as well. Thanks again, Gary

Yellowstone Trip towing Experience in Detail

I thought of two more issues that might be of interest to some readers. The first is octane ratings. Normally I use 87 octane , 10% ethanol fuel from Costco per consumer reports studies. On this trip I varied it. From non ethanol 91 to 89, and 89 to 87 at 10%. Although it is only an anecdotal...

Yellowstone Trip towing Experience in Detail

Well I finally took my 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie with my Sundance 25 ft travel trailer on a 2,150 mile journey from Salem, OR to Yellowstone to Salt Lake City, UT and back this past couple of weeks and for those who care about such matters here are the gory details. First off for the first 8 days...

Advice needed for exterior accessories ie: bug (hood shield) shield, window vents and splash mud guards.

I went with the weathertec Mudguards. Simple installation, look nice, and reasonably priced. As to whether I really needed them is another question, but they look good and do the trick. I couldn’t find a hood deflector that I liked so I still don’t have one.

    Apple CarPlay Audio Distortion

I write, record and play a lot of my own music. I find that some recordings over time deteriorate on the hard drives and have to be deleted and reinstalled on my iPhone. These are particularly noticeable at high sound levels. If you have Sirius radio (Which was great sound by the way but I...

    Apple CarPlay Audio Distortion

I have the same setup. I use my iPhone for navigation, music, etc and have had no issues for over a year. The entire system seems to operate seamlessly. I do notice however that my iPhone will occasionally have some of the problems you refer to but that is from the recordings on the iPhone as I...

What did you do to your Ram today???

I did the simplest of things today with help from fellow member posts. I have a nice Garmin with lifetime updates, but found out my trucks 12V plug on the dash was always on when plugged in. I only wanted it to work when the ignition was activated. A quick search on this forum found the post(s)...

Just wanted to reach out and thank you for your older post about changing the 12v dash plugin...

Just wanted to reach out and thank you for your older post about changing the 12v dash plugin from battery mode to key mode. You made it quite easy for me and it even worked on the first try! Not exactly something I'm used to:). Thaks again, Gary

Official thread for pictures of Ram towing campers

Heartland Sundance ID221RB. Found a lightly used 2019. A perfect match for my truck. GVW is 7300, but I load it to about 5700max. Tongue Weight ends up about 750lbs. Both axles weigh at 3350lbs when fully loaded and with occupants and cargo.

    What's Your RAM story?

Shows you what I know. I had never heard of a rocky ridge ram. Had to look it up. That is a nice looking rig. Enjoyed the story.
