I removed the silver heat sink, but couldn't figure out how to remove the assembly further. The black area appears to be a large circuit card assembly with the bulbs connected to the board.
Replaced my vanity mirror, cargo, and third brake lights to LED tonight with the LEDs below. Love the color of the 5-6k light over the yellow incandescent light...
Was bummed to find out that I couldn't upgrade my OEM LED reverse lights but this looks like this will solve that problem. Ordered all of the parts. I will provide an update when installed. Thanks for everyone that has taken the time to share this information!
Lol. No problem. I ordered the LED light bulbs, removed my taillights and said "that doesn't look the same". Then put it all back together =)

Hello, I replaced my cargo lights and my third tail light and wanted to replace my reverse lights. I have the OEM factory LED tail lights. Can the lights themselves be replaced with brighter LED lights?
