You might want to search this forum for the posts about the 2019’s having issues with the oil pans not being treated and rusting.
My was and the dealer stated they have seen dozens of them. They stated they are replacing those that actually start to leak. I treated mine with POR-15 and so...
This is well known issue with many of the 2019’s, my included. There are a number of posts about the issue, but in a nutshell. My dealer would not replaced the badly rusted oil pan until it starts to leak. I cleaned my up and treated it with POR-15 which stills to be doing its job.

I have a Lomax Stance model on my 2019, look the low profile and its never leaked a drop of water. I never had any luck with BAK-flip covers lasting - water entered the cover and soaked the foam.

This is on-going issue with 2019 models that RAM missed coating the oil pans. Mine was discovered at an oil change completely covered with rust at 57,000 miles.
So off to see the dealer. They had seen all lot of them and I was told they will only replace the oil pan if the rust causes a leak...
For the tailgate - this is a pretty common issue. Try pushing in on the right side near the outside/top while using the latch. This should work. The dealer has a SB to adjust the latches which may help.

I have one on my 2019 - love the cover. Low profile, still look new, works great, easy install and removal if you need the entire bed. I would buy one again.

Waiting over three years for this to be resolved as the second owner. At least they have my address for the recalls that seem to be on-going for the 2019 models….

Rust not covered is true - however in 2019 Ram sold a number of trucks with oil pans that were never treated and have been rusting out as a result. The dealer told me once it starts to leak they can replace it under warranty.
My 2019 Laramie Sport is reaching 65,000 miles and I notice the ride is beginning to show its time for a refresh. Ideas on what I show have the shop look at? The truck is stock and used on the road only.
TIA,
Jim
Mine was bad, so off to see the dealer. I have an extended warranty as well. I was told they will only replace the oil pan if the rust causes a leak. Great answer for the company using non-treated oil pans that started rusting on the lot.
I wire brushed it and painted it with POR-15. So far...
I finally got around to installing the lights for my 2019 RAM that I bought after reading this thread months ago:
Added some reverse lights today
Fairly easy install. I needed a ratcheting 10mm box-end to remove the plastic trim pieces where the lights are mounted as I didn’t want to move the...
Update -
My dealer replaced the loose / broken dip stick tube under the drivetrain warranty and would have covered the oil pan as well but it was not presently leaking.
My plan is - I picked up the POR15 kit and plan to wire brush the loose rust off and treat the oil pan with the kit to try...
