Give them the STAR Case; all of the work has been done for them & distilled-down into a few official color-page instructions as to how to proceed. Sit down with the Service Mgr. if necessary.

Not sure how your dealer could honestly suggest that the problem is not common. This STAR CASE says it all. Whether or not they decide to cover all or part of the replacement expense is another matter.

FYI: IIHS informed me in writing recently that the revised rear cab mounts were incorporated on the production line on July 06. It was just simpler for them to say “vehicles built after July” in the press release.
