My window replacement went very smoothly, thanks to a sharp Service Dept. & factory intervention.
Photos show: old window in bed following removal, rear bench seat removed, 'Made in CN' Mopar sticker on replacement new window.
Note: 'CN' is not Canada, folks.......
Give them the STAR Case; all of the work has been done for them & distilled-down into a few official color-page instructions as to how to proceed.
Sit down with the Service Mgr. if necessary.
Just shy of your mileage. I have ordered multiple FCA vehicles; not that it should matter, but that may have helped.
What I did was to first telephone RAM (politely) to get a Case # set-up.
That Case # & notes goes immediately to an FCA/RAM Customer Service official who quickly communicates with...
Not sure how your dealer could honestly suggest that the problem is not common.
This STAR CASE says it all.
Whether or not they decide to cover all or part of the replacement expense is another matter.
Jeeum,
There is another (55-page) thread on this subject, you may wish to scan.
Regardless, please take a look at the STAR Case I am attaching here; you might want to print & present to your dealership's Service Manager.
I had my cracked-frame rear sliding window replaced already under warranty...
Hey, not sure if this specific & detailed has already been posted; if not I hope it is of some aid & information to the group!
I've had the (cracked rear window frame) issue as well on (one of my two) '19 RAMs; was successfully repaired under warranty by my very fine local dealer.
And yes, even...
I wrote to IIHS & received an authoritative reply; the actual date when the upgraded rear cab mounts were incorporated on the production line was July 06.
Almost certainly, they had 99% of the safety engineering already incorporated; but final narrow-offset crash testing had revealed further...
OK, an update, AND an actual answer/solution for this problem!!......
I had posted in January that shoving thick foam up into the gap (between the headliner & the front of the roof) in the center & front right sides had solved the 'itchy' noise (caused by the Aplix clips). As turns-out, the...
FYI: IIHS informed me in writing recently that the revised rear cab mounts were incorporated on the production line on July 06.
It was just simpler for them to say “vehicles built after July” in the press release.
The more you drive, the more you’ll prefer the RAM. I drive as much as 500+ miles some days; the ride on my Limited is creamy smooth & super-stable. The leather everywhere & superior elelectronics are a constant pleasure, and the HEMI has satisfying power. Have 10,000 miles on the Ltd., and just...
Any chance someone out there could post a link to the complete UConnect (only) owner's manual for the (all) new '19 RAMs, PLEASE?
The Mopar web site also seems to be 'down' for me; been trying for a week.
I am not saying that there is any problem with the windshields, however my wife's '19 Longhorn develped (or got) a mystery rock chip' at the center/bottom @ only (1,000 miles). She drove her Yukon for 200K without a damaged windshield. From the size of the 'star', it should have been eminantly...
My noise was exactly the same as described by others, and it also was immediately temporarily suppressed by applying hand-pressure to the center or right side of the front of the sunroof opening.
Try really wedging/tuffing some resilient, dense foam in that opening; it has worked for me.
Been...
I have a '19 Limited (late July build) WITH the subject lower horizontal seal piece, and the wife now drives a '19 Longhorn (late October build) WITHOUT the seal. The Longhorn is quiet, but perceivably not quite as quiet as the Ltd. I intend now to order the piece (thanks J.H., for the Part #)...
