I actually went with a retrax cover instead. But I ordered alternate braces in place of the OEM ones. I forget where they were from but you can search around here and probably find them. They are lower profile and don't get in the way of attaching most tonneau covers.

Modified and installed a rambar on my rebel with MFT. A bit of angle grinder work and some paint (yeah, not the cleanest, I know.) worked like a charm. My Retrax MX fit perfectly between the bolts.

agree its probably frontend clearance. Most likely due to the fact the uhaul trailer has a lip on the front. When towing my M2, I had to drop a couple 2x10's under the front wheels to clear the lip, same with loading/unloading. Just give another car in the form, and figure it out when you load...
