Haha, well damn…lol.
Ok, I think I’ll order it and give it one more try. Is there anything else I might need to consider too? BTW, I do have the e-locker.
Well, I tried wiring the transfer case as instructed and I also reprogrammed via Alfaobd as instructed, but it was a no go. No matter what I did, I kept getting “service 4wd” messages on the dashboard, and I couldn’t shift between different drive modes. I think any hope of re-wiring the system...
I recently received all the items I should need to complete the swap based on @Jimmy07 instructions.
I plan to do the swap this coming weekend. I’ll be taking pictures and I will provide an update on the status next week (success or failure).
Holy Crap! Thank you!!! I’m going to look into this. This is by far the most helpful guide I’ve come across on how to get around the wiring! You’re awesome!
Man, this thread feels like a tease. Guy says he did the swap, but then doesn’t give enough pertinent information as to how. Then he ghosts everyone…
For the life of me, I can’t figure out what actuator he could have used that would plug into the harness and also bolt up to the transfer case. I...
I was looking into doing this swap a while ago. Went so far as buying the BW48-12 before I came across the same issue as you with the connecting pins (was planning to do the swap myself). I was thinking I would have to change out the whole wiring harness. I still have the BW48-12 in my shop...
There’s a few trails you could do, but clearance will be your limiting factor on a lot of stuff. Just go slow, pic your line, and know when to stop pushing if it looks to hard.
Also, I would recommend going when it’s dry. The slick mud kept us from doing trails/obstacles that we would have tried...
Just having a bit of fun at Hidden Falls off road park a few weeks ago. It was pretty wet when we were there, but the Ram did great. The locker and 37” cooper stt pro’s did great, but I’m looking forward to seeing what the Ram can do when it’s more dry.
I was having the same issue with my tailgate too, and it was driving me nuts. I fixed it by adjusting the tailgate striker bolts, now the Tailgate is solid and doesn’t rattle at all. If you loosen the bolts they can move up, down, or back and forth. It took several tries to dial it in so that...
The Zone 4 inch lift raises the rear 3 inches with springs, and comes with relocation brackets for the upper control arms (where they mount on the axle), a track bar relocation bracket, bump stop extensions, and longer sway bar links.
I also have the RC retractable steps. I didn’t bother to remove the floor plugs when I installed them, I just drilled a hole through the plugs to run the wires and then sealed it with silicone. Looking through the instructions I couldn’t figure out why you would want/need to remove them.
