That payload rating actually does include 300 lb for one driver, one passenger. Seated in the front row, and all fluids full.

How big have you towed? w/Pics no tricks!

I was going to mention this as well. or by completely skewing TW... 6% TW on a boat? you can tell that towable companies have been playing the same "pick a number" as the truck industry. Most of the trims above the tradesman and bighorn are not a truck "by the sticker" Id probably be fine with...

    I can't take the Dog?

as Finn5033 and Willwork4truck mentioned, experience is key, Growing up in the mountains of Colorado I learned to respect weather, road conditions, hairpins, and grades. I started with trailers on a farm at 9 years old towing 1 ton trailers with a 4 wheeler to get hay to cattle up in high...

    I can't take the Dog?

Just a thought... airstreams were designed to tow by a family sedan in the 60's I'm sure those cars had more payload than your truck :ROFLMAO: you should do what you feel comfortable with, me personally, its a few lbs... in the event there is a mishap, +/- 100lbs will probably not be a factor...

    Stiffer linear rate springs

I am planning on going with either 35% or 50% linear spring. after watching this video, and his explanations, I think its time. I still need to get to a scale to see my unloaded weight though to see if the 35% or 50% is a better fit for me, not sure if the 70% will just make it feel like a 2500...

another note to think about is your spare... if your running near max payload, that ~110T spare is gonna be hurting if you have to use it.

Please post your Tire and Loading sticker

One thought in regards to tire's limiting the payload; I inspected my setup, with the Nexen Roadian HTX RH5 275/55R20 SL the payload/pressure chart is: 29psi - 2121lbs 32psi - 2293lbs 35psi - 2465lbs 36psi - 2535lbs with an axle rating of 3900lbs front and 4100lbs rear, the tires could be at...

The battery alone is 30lbs, then you have the motor/generator and controls systems. in total its about 100lbs for that.

    Body Armor Ambush on BTS

That is nice! I wish they would have included a hidden winch. I'd rather have that than a light bar... or have an option for both? the outer pods, two inner pods, and the fairlead? Id love that! What's the weight vs stock? I do a lot of inter state towing, last ting I need is a lot of extra...
